Last two weeks of football have been pretty boring IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

Besides the end of the Jets/Charges, the other games have been snooze fests and blow outs.

I agree.

I'm not sure how Americans can sit through an entire NFL game on television. I watched a couple of the playoff games and the amount of commercials they insert is almost insulting.

Yeah, it's bad. At least we get all the hilarious Miller Lite commercials to entertain us.

The Packer / Cardinal game was a fun watch. I think the games this Sunday should be much more engaging. I'm hoping for a Manning - Brees Superbowl.

Anytime Dallas gets their ass handed to them and wins me a few sheckles, it's a great game.

the actual game can be someone entertaining at times. but it really is mindless for most of it. i think most of the fans are retards.

and literally nothing happens for most of the game.

"According to a Wall Street Journal study of four recent broadcasts, and similar estimates by researchers, the average amount of time the ball is in play on the field during an NFL game is about 11 minutes."

wall street journal (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704281204575002852055561406.html)

you sit and watch a game for 3 hours, and see only 11 actual minutes of action. that is retarded.

as opposed to soccer where you watch 3 hours worth of play and could possibly come away without seeing a single score.

also, I'd rather watch too many 30 second commercials than have the uniforms be nothing more than cloth billboards.

All excellent points to further prove that hockey is the only sport worth watching.

That's an extremely ignorant thing to say on a few levels. There are quite a bit of intelligent football fans out there. There are allot more of us than there are blue painted shirtless meatball fans. I'm not going to argue it's excitement level vs. soccer, as I know little about soccer, and refuse to make ignorant assumptions. A schematically intriguing and well played football game can be quite fun to watch, if you know what you're watching. Football is human warfare. Saying there is only 11 mins of action is akin to saying the only action at a poker table is when the cards are being dealt.

Jimmy, that response was far too well constructed and free of profanity.

You need to get back on the liquor drip.

90 minutes (+ a couple injury time minutes), no more. no commercials except at half time. the kits are sick, better than nfl ones who have the same jersey year after year.

and the "no scoring" excuse is weak. soccer is much harder of a sport to master. scoring is very hard. the skills alone on display at the top level are worth the watch.

football is very little skill, minus a few positions. most are just predominately athletes who are freaks of nature.

and yes when there are 60 minutes of commercials to 11 minutes of action that is wack. add on there is 17 minutes of replays. and some other ridiculous number of time where nothing happens aka huddle, standing around, stretching, ect.

its one big scam for the $$$. same way a team can just pick up and leave a city.

im not saying those 11 minutes cant be thoroughly enjoying, but too many people dont see the bigger picture with the nfl.

Anyway, I'm kind of pulling for Minnesota.
Farve's come full circle for me.
When he was with Green Bay, I thought he was OK. Then with all of the retirement/unretirement nonsense I began to get sick of him.
Now this year, he's regained all of my respect and then some.
The guy's an absolute legend.

That's all fine with me.
We live in a society with an ever decreasing attention span anyway.

on the teams that are left i really really really dont want the jets to win. i fucking hate the jets.

first off all they blow cock.

second of all my fins beat them twice this year. fins should be in the super bowl right now, not those cock smokers.

dont want the saints to win it. because im a hater. and the saints blow cock too.

dont really want the colts to win bc they tanked that game to the jets at the end of the season and dont deserve to win it. that was a cock sucking thing to do.

i dont really want the vikings to win bc brett farve is a conceded egomaniac cock sucker only playing to beef up his records that dan marino rightly owns. however i do like the fact that hes trying to rub his cock in the packers face and if he wins it would really rub it in there good, like make them deep throat his crank. so i like that.

so i guess what im saying is i want the vikings. then the colts. then the saints. then the jets. but dear god please not the cock sucking jets.

Im rooting for the colts...

And in the nfc the saints... i think a saints-colts super bowl would be great.

But like checkyourprez i really hope the fucking jets don't win.

I like Rex Ryan. Reminds me of his dad.
I could see the Jets pulling the upset again this weekend.

It would be kind of poetic justice to have the Colts lose because they choose to sit Manning and their starters in week 16 when they played the Jets and gave them the win they needed to get into the playoffs.

I haven't had a drink in 72 days. I'm stayin strong and taking it one day at a time. Getting off the sauce has helped me realize my true self, and I'm a completely different person now that I'm clean and sober. I have made allot of mistakes, and hurt allot of people. If I hurt anyone on this board I hope you can find it in your heart to accept my apology. That wasn't me, it was the booze.
