I dont' know enough about everything to be that useful in the past. I'd have to bring so much paper with me and pick a certain time...

Bleah. Not to mention I'd probably get some horrible disease that's sort of died out by now.

If I went to the future, I could maybe look into how people I knew's lives turned out (it'd be interesting to see how digital photo albums and blogs and whatnot changes the longevity of collective memory concerning individuals). I'm sure there'd be new technology and probably better healthcare, so I'd end up living longer than if I'd just stayed here.

I could just go find all the albums released by my favorite bands from the past. Missing their concerts would be a bummer, but you know - there'll be new bands still. Finding out what "everyone knows" in the future would be fun.

I'll say future, but not so far that I'd just be in shock and never adapt, like the people from Transmetropolitan.

I think I'd get all my shots and go back. Going forward you'd know less than the average slob, going back just a couple of hundred years and being able to read would make you a genius and live like a king.

But it would be interesting to see the future.
