any kind of rock/metal i guess. new or old doesn't matter. don't go too psycho with the metal though.
post some youtube links to whatever band it is or something.
thanks!
this anvil song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OgF_7FKgtE) is pretty good. i must have listened to it about 10 times before i realized it was about gangbangs
i haven't listened to any of their other songs though, so it's possible that they suck. there was a documentary (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1157605/) about them though, so how bad could they be

haha
tag team
how did you not know this was about gangbangs
hahaha
i thought it was about wrestling i guess, i dunno i don't listen to lyrics
not metal lyrics, anyway

the first one is fucking sinister
i didn't like that second one. i don't like that repeating robotic music shit.
and actually the reason why i started this thread becase of the flaming lips.
Dorothy Wood
01-27-2010, 01:14 AM
yeah, I don't much care for Cave. my gentleman friend and my male best friend love them a lot. I thought maybe just boys liked them or something. I haven't seen them live though. they're not actually too robotic, if you go 30 seconds in, it's more rock/metal...though kinda roboty I guess.
what do you think of the Flaming Lips?
TurdBerglar
01-27-2010, 01:18 AM
i've always heard of them. never knowingly heard anything from them, though. until recently. i saw them on one of the the late night shows and thought they were pretty wacky yet finely tuned and cohesive and had a lot of energy... pretty intersesting.

yeah, the new album is definitely darker and more experimental. not what they got popular for, but similar to some earlier stuff they did.
There is an awesome documentary about them called The Fearless Freaks
hey! it's on hulu!
http://www.hulu.com/watch/91177/the-flaming-lips-the-fearless-freaks
(y)
anyway, I'd definitely recommend listening to Embryonic.

something like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW-fN0RvrHk
music that makes you wanna fuck
mid day summer fucking. in the middle of a heat wave. that's all nasty and sweaty.
i'm reluctant to get into the flaming lips because the only song of theirs that i know is "do you realize" which i think is boring as hell but it was HUGE a few years ago and it made me think that all their stuff would be equally boring as hell. is it, or do they have more variety?

I'm not a big Flaming Lips fan, though I did like that documentary and I've mildly enjoyed seeing them in concert (but I couldn't pay more than $20-30 and they have to be playing the right venue). I did not enjoy the tour where they were Beck's back up band.
The Soft Bulletin is a solid album--it's a sentimental favorite of mine. But I also thought Do You Realize was a decent single, so you might not agree.
I didn't even know they had a new album out.
