from scenester to hiphop, this is a trend I just can't wrap my head around

everyone looks like they have big feet

Personally speaking, I can't wear skinny jeans because my nuts don't fit.

kaiser soze
01-27-2010, 07:18 PM
Exactly!

My nuts can't handle a pair of tight crotched boxers...HOW are these guys stuffing that shit in?

and now they are wearing the stretch denim jeans, fuck.....might as well go back to tights and leg warmers.

ladies, take note....the guy in skinny jeans just won't deliver

skinny jeans on guys is just wrong

i love them, my son just got some but he's 4 and they're cute. I think it depends what you wear with them, i got a great ass for skinny jeans but somedays it just feels too much and i gotta cover up a bit. And the golf club look if people with big feet wear them is a bit strange.

I resisted for awhile but with ballet flats or boots they look so smooth.

I love them more than my boot cuts now.

I have alot of friends who swear by the stretchy jeans that have a sort of yoga pant waistline on them aka maternity jeans for the masses.

Tbh i'd only seen them for girls before, my mum got them for him. Now his big brother is taking the piss that he looks like a girl....he also has fairly long hair too and was called princess in the past!! But he likes them and he doesn't look like a girl, and when you're 4 you don't give too much of a fuck anyway

I have a pair that I guess are "skinny" but no one ever knows it because they aren't ridiculously tight. The best thing about it is that they keep my ankles warm whereas with boot cut, the wind gets in.

I've never been threatened by something someone wears, so I don't really understand the skinny jean hate.

I think it all comes down to dudes being self-conscious about showing the shape of their legs.

yeah, sometimes skinny jeans looks awful, but sometimes they look great. the same could be said for any style of pants. everyone just needs to calm down and wear whatever makes them happy and not act like someone else's style choice is an affront to masculinity.

if you ask me, baggy jeans make less sense than fitted ones. they've only been in fashion for around 20 years total anyway. fitted pants and jeans have been around since pants began. Even the exaggerated dress style of the Incroyables in 18th century France wore mostly fitted pants...though they were considered baggy at the time.

my point is, who cares what other people wear? everybody looks funny to somebody.

Skinny jeans are great for skinny people. On curvy broads like me, not so much. A long time ago someone told me "You don't need fashion if you've got style," which was pretty good advice really - I know what flatters me and what doesn't, so I can pick out what trends suit me to pick up and what ones I should just ignore.

What peachy said. This is the reason (among myriad others) that I am avoiding the unfortunate resurgence of shoulder pads. My shoulders are already too square.

Also the reason I never got into A-line skirts in the 90s despite thinking they were ever so cute. My legs are just the wrong length for that cut.

See now, shoulder pads I like. Not supermassive 80's ones, but a bit of structure there is good for me, because with my big boobs, they sort of balance out my upper half a bit.

Been wearing slacks as of lately, jeans only to work on cars, mow lawn etc., anyway jeans only on stay home days or work days if I go out I like the slacks.

I would never buy skinny jeans. I'm a dude. Dudes aren't suppose to wear skinny jeans are we?

With Jeans I wear Levi standard blue 501's, Dickie Blacks and Carhart's tan colored heavy duty pants. I always shred the jeans for Summer, I don't think I've ever purchase a pair of already seamed cut offs.

I am a fucking stud.

Except for shirts, I'm kind of gay about shirts and waste a lot of money.

my hips are birth friendly too
on that low cut skinny jeans i need a size bigger than normal to fit with my hips in but in the end they dont look like skinny jeans anymore cause the lower leg part wont be tight enough

Over the last couple of years my hips have finally become more womanly but I'm still pretty small-framed so I feel decent in relatively slim-fitting jeans. The supertight ones, nuh uh. I like skinny jeans for putting in boots and such. Urban's are probably my favorite.

I've seen the skinny with baggy ass-jeans on dudes. So hilarious.

Big Balls can wreak Havoc or do you mean Danglers?

I was stealing a line from the Jigga Man. My problem with any kind of trousers are my large thighs and butt-ocks. My waist is about a 32/33, but I usually need to buy 36/38 in trousers if I want to be able to move freely. With jeans a loose fit Levis, or a size up straight . Whatever the situ I never have trousers that fit me properly. In other words, even if I wanted to I could never wear skinny jeans.

Caribou

I think skinnyjeans can look good, but people tend to forget that they don't suit everyone, wear them because they are fashionable and end up looking ridiculous.
Which is why I don't wear them. I once tried on a pair and it was a massive NO.
My thighs are huge and I also have pretty big feet, so with skinnyjeans I just look like a stubby-legged clown.
Slightly baggy bootcut or flared jeans is what works for me.

Ah, You said the magic word.. Besides Levi's, Dickies shorts, and Dickies pants with the cell pocket are the best. And at like $17 for the shorts, and $20 for the pants, they're a bargain. They also wear like iron.

those are f'ing hideous. I'm sorry.

also, I'm wondering what the deal is with the brits in here...when I was in college in the late 90's, my friend was dating a british dude who started wearing baggy jeans because that was the style in america, and when he went back to england to visit family or whatever, everyone made fun of his pants.

but now, 10 years later, fitted jeans are somehow totally awful? wha?

I know you like carpenter jeans, dude, but I'm of the opinion that only carpenters should wear them.

the crotch is just too damn long, and the color is bleh. and with those shoes in the picture...barf. it's just all around not flattering (that photo at least).

I'm just a plain sort of person, I like regular dark wash levis on a man. http://www.beachbums.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/5/0/501-2642_lg.jpg

But everyone should just wear what they like, that's what I think. My boyfriend wears loose fit cords from old navy most of the time, and I think he looks cute as a button.

I can't wear them like tight around my crotch and such, it is just too awkward and I have big feet and make me look like a goofy "L". However, I buy them in a slightly longer length so they don't cut the circulation off my johnson and they bunch up at the bottom making my shoes look less humongous. plus I"m older and going the whole hipster route makes me look like a creepy grown up jonas brother.

It's tough to make running shoes look cool with skinny-leg pants though. I've been shelving all my air max's and joggers in favor of smallish vans, hi-top basketball shoes, and supra skytops. Bummer becse I have a shitload of running shoes.
