This lady is just bizarre...
Well, I guess that's $60,000 worth of books that won't fall into the wrong hands.

I was contemplating posting this but felt I needed to save my finger energy
anyways - here are a few "conspiracies"
Boost the appearance of sales to get "Best Seller" label
eh...that was enough on the fingers

A nice thank you gift for her supporters.

I haven't read that book yet, I want to. I sort of dread reading it mainly because she has no verbal grasp of the English language. Her disposition is to use the gift of limelight to run a bizarre bully pulpit.
I will read it though, because it's bound to be everywhere in the next few months after spring cleaning.

that assumes she wrote it herself

Why do I get the feeling Kaiser is right? Seems almost rational to me...1)spend $60k buying up your own book 2) get on best seller list 3)start making an extra $20k-$30k PER speaking engagement bacause of it. Surely this is not the fist time someone has used this strategy but since it's Palin the left will jump all over it and try and make it news. It's not, who gives a fuck.
now you're defending this loon?

Other than complete narcissism, you and kaiser are on the right track on why she'd do this (stay on "bestseller" list and maintain notoriety/speaking fees).

In this case I guess maybe I am. It just doesn't sound "looney" to me....sounds like just another marketing gimmick. Shit like this happens all the time. It's not illegal, it's just a cheesy sales ploy, so who gives a shit. But since it seems like the left wants to stir some shit up with this don't be surprised when it comes out that Michelle and Bill have a few hundred cases of "Dreams of my Father" and "It Takes a Village" stashed somewhere.

So despite some pretty significant announcements from Obama today, THIS is what you felt was threadworthy?
I love this forum.

You're free to make your own threads too. By all means, don't let us stop you.

no i see your point and it's lame when anyone does it. i wouldn't put it past clinton or the first lady as well, i'd laugh at them too. but it's so typical of palin.

$60,000 isn't enough to put anybody on a best sellers list.
