Anyone here into Sublime? Now that the lawsuit is settled what are your thoughts on the new Sublime with Rome? Personally i think its really cool, being a HUGE Sublime fan myself i know that the Beastie Boys were a huge influance in their song writing and they sampled the Beasties in a number of their songs. Plus i know that DFL (when Adrock was with them) played some shows with Sublime so there are some connections there, it would be cool to see them do some sort of collaberation together. Thoughts?

Also forgot to mention that in the Original Skunk release of 40oz to Freedom they even give a shout to the Beastie Boys in the Thanx track

Theyre not considering him a new lead singer, but yeah pretty much. His name is Rome Rameriez hence the name theyre using "Sublime with Rome" they got a 150 show tour coming up. Theyre playing Sublime songs plus a lot of new shit that they wrote with Rome. I just thought it would be badass if they did a collab with the Beastie Boys

Sublime's dope. Brad is a legend in my eyes and a huge influence on my guitar stylings and taste in music. Heard the shit with Rome and it's awight. They do get mad hate on here though. Not sure I wanna see a collab w/ bboys.

The Long beach Dub All Stars were pretty much Sublime w/ another singer. The first album had some good songs on it.

Unforunately Sublime has that frat boy image by many and that doesn't bode too well here. Even LTI gets dissed for the same reason. All because of a couple hit songs. I have an affection with three piece bands and think these guys weren't the best but made some great music.

It was "OK". Exactly. I have no idea what happned to it, before the time of itunes. And I don't mind that I lost it. There was a track w/ Barington Levy that I loved. and if memory serves HR from Bad Brains makes an appearance.
