View Full Version : People who don''t pay thier way on nights out
kinda piss me off.
I have a group of friends who are mainly female and me another dude are the two males in the group - but he is so tight. Will do anything to wriggle out of his round and will make sure he is at the cheapest pub before buying half the drinks he is supposed to. I think I spent about £30 more than him tonight on the same schedule of buying rounds as I pick up the tab for him when he doesn't take the initiative in getting to the bar on doing his duty.
Its not much (£30) maybe but its something that he always does but because I am so damn nice I'll make it right for him, we all bitch about it but it carries on. grrr
Think this is the last time I'll bail him out.

on the netbook to, so my fat fingers did well.
I actually take more care typing when drunk (like you do driving) so I'm probably more likely to make mistakes sober.
edit. The grammar was worse in this reply

Ah, ok. Yes, probably.
I already know that but when you're drunk you think you're gonna set the world to rights by typing on the interwebs.

I hate it when you go out to dinner with a bunch of people and it comes time to split the check. Always seems one person always gets a bit stingy and doesn't pay their full part of the bill.

I have a few friends with which I have to argue whose turn it is to pick up the tab, mostly stuff like "I'm sure you paid last time, my turn now".
But yeah, although most of my closest friends aren't stingy that's exception rather than rule unfortunatly.

I went out last night with a group of my male friends and usually I will always get a round of drinks or give money to the person who paid afterwards, but this time I just didn't get the chance. I was just standing there and kept getting beers pushed into my hands.
I let them know I hadn't payed for a drink all night and I felt bad, but they didn't mind. I do though. I don't want to be one of those women who tags along and never spends a cent on drinks because AS A WOMAN you should get served by MEN. meh (n)
you see, women look pretty and men like buying things for pretty things. So as a woman you're gonna have to deal with beers being bought for you - sorry.
But with my group of friends, like yourself, the women will get rounds in and feel bad if they don't but I feel more comfortable if I've got more rounds in. Its just this one guy gets less than the women and actively avoids his fare share. If its what comes around goes around then fine - next time you get the other end of the stick, but when you're always aiming to get the cheap end then you're being uncool

I come across this problem sometimes, and usually the problem is me! I NEVER carry cash, pay for everything with a swipe of the debit card, so when it comes to splitting a bill I'm the first one to say 'errrr... I dont have any cash'. 50% of the time someone will cover my bit and I'll pay them back later, and the other 50% of the time I cover the whole bill on my card then everyone owes me money.
Both of those options suck hard, I should just go to a bloody ATM before dinner/drinks, but I never learn.

Just stop having friends.
Lord knows I've tried. But I must admit, having friends sometimes does come in handy.
