i remembered reading that it was mostly hash.
i don't think brian had enough of a drug tolerance to take that much LSD. he was one of those emotionally fragile types.

I think the first time I heard it in it's entirety was in the mid 90s. Every now and then I give it a spin, but my opinion on it never really changes much.

I think God Only Knows might be my favorite song. I have gained a new respect for it since I tried to learn to play it on guitar. Those are some lovely, interesting, difficult to finger (huh) chords. Maybe he was using a capo...
