BTW- I weirdly feel like the longer MMM has been touring with the Beastie circus the more set in his ways he got beat-juggling wise. Laver gives a great example- when was the last show that Apache doesn't make an appearance after the break there? Look I love Apache as much as the next guy, but it feels like a little of the unpredictability that made those earlier shows so dope has slipped away. Not to complain, just thinking out loud, which is after all, why we're all here...

And to Mathcart's point...I agree. MMM has settled to a groove. While it's a nice groove, it pretty predictable. I'd agree it's time to move Apache away from Root Down, move Breathe away from SWW. Switch it up a little.

Mix Master did and still does make the live shows so much fun. I'm not too aware of the DJ scene, but creating live remixes of the beasties is a great thing.

Best thing that ever happened to this band. His addition along w/ the themed tours (in the round, pageant, gala) made the bboys the most innovative and best live act in the history of hip hop. They the shit.

Which is exactly why I'll never get sick of the Apache sample. I still remember watching that debut on TRL. That apache bit blew my mind. I immediately started growing the jewfro too.:D
