i don't really know what to make of this one.
the entire premise of the movie is pretty stupid and the plot is very predictable, but it had some funny moments and a few good lines.
both john cusack and rob corddry played their typical kind of roles, but i never thought i would ever see them in a film together.

oh, and chevy chase makes a pretty good appearance

It looks pretty dumb, but real I'm curious to see how it does. It looks the Hangover meets the Wedding Singer with a ridiculous premise.
What is Chevy's role? Don't worry about spoiling it for me.

chevy is the mysterious guy who knows what is actually happening and has a lot of odd lines that don't make a whole lot of sense. he appears and disappears pretty throughout the whole film.
i only went because it was a free ticket. i wouldn't say its worth full theater ticket value, but its a fun cheap seat or rental

Man...this shit was hilarious.
I didn't find it overly predictable. I mean yeah it followed the basic guidelines of a time travel movie but whatever I didnt go to have my mind blown by it.
Crispin Glover is perfect in this movie.
The hot girl (http://www.nerve.com/CS/blogs/scanner/2008/11/01-07/caplan.jpg) from Party Down (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_Down) is in it
"James Browns Celebrity Hot Tub Party" makes a cameo appearance
It was surprisingly smarter than one may assume sort of like Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was. As far as creativity goes, Im glad Hollywood is making movies like this and trying something at least slightly different than simply churning out another remake.

"ARE YOU RAPING???"
when they referenced this movie in 30 rock i thought they were making it up but nope i guess not

for me the title alone sold it
Alf, Kid-N-Play, Big Hair, Leg Warmers...this is gold. From the title, I could just say Hot Tub time Machine all day and chuckle, to the 80s pop culture this is a perfect albeit goofy concept.
I plan to see it at least on DVD. I might even go see it in the theatre.
I started to see extended previews and they've only gotten better.

I'm glad to see TNLOL liked it... because I've been wanting to see this flick for a while. I think we have a somewhat similar sense of humor, so I'll probably enjoy it.
Probably going tonight after work. I think this crap looks like it'll be hilarious. Not to mention I kind of love almost anything to do with time travel...

The references to 80s pop culture were present but at the same time it wasn't like "HYUK HYUK LOOK-IT HOW CORNY THE 1980S WERE!!!!" which I felt was pretty refreshing. I mean, yeah obviously there were jokes that certainly poked a lot of fun at 1980s pop culture...but it wasn't like the central theme throughout.
Based off that, it was obvious that the writers and people involved probably spent their heyday in the 1980s. I think that generation of people will appreciate it for what it is...because it really is kind of a throwback to the screwball 1980s sex comedy.
Also I dont understand how the cheif complaint I see in user reviews about this is that its "too obvious"...its a movie about a time traveling hot tub where the entire plot is revealed in the movies title for christ sakes.

sincere apologies for advising you to have an enjoyable time ;)
I figured Cusack alone should be a safe bet that its quality. Other than 2012 he has been in very few bad films.

My buddy at work doesn't like him because he almost got in a fight with him a few years back. I hope it has a strong weekend because my 90's movie script is arriving on desks this afternoon and should get read over the weekend.
I bet my brother it will do 60M+ this weekend. I was drunk at the time so I shot a little high.
