13 years ago today and just 24 years old.
Biggie aka Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G. aka Francis White aka Christopher Wallace aka the Greatest of All Time.
I spent the day at work just jamming out to everything I had on my Ipod of his.
What a tragic loss of talent.
Never realised how young he was. I always assumed he was older for some reason?
^ probably because he was a fat fuck.
Never really got into Biggie myself, maybe one day.

Nah, probably just because Camo was so young at the time.
You should definitely give Biggie another try, rirv. He has a couple of really good albums.

And while you're at it, pick up some PM Dawn, it's like the lovable, cuddly side of Biggie - with dreads and patchouli

At 24 he accomplished enough to make himself a hip hop legend... someone who will almost never be forgotten.
24... think about what you did at 24.
i didn't get shot to death, for one

Wow, I'm really surprised at the disrespect being shown by some.
I mean really? In a memorial thread?

There's such a lack of original BIG material out there that even this kinda shit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxcJSQeCiLI) has value to it.
And it's amazing that over a decade after his death he's still pretty much one of the top 3 rappers of all time. Except on kaiser's list where Prince Be, Monie Love and Fresh Prince got the shit on lock.

I actually think he's got the "Lyrical Jesse James" Turbo B of the highly successful German electro-funk group "Snap!" as his top ranked MC of all time.
Stay off his back
or he will attack
and you don't want that.

Would that make Freedom from C&C Music Factory in the number 2 spot?

He only had two albums, so you can either go in chronological order or work your way backwards through his catalog. Outside of his albums, there's only a handful of original material. It wouldn't take long to find every song he ever did.

a guy in a bowtie mad his momma cry?
I ask why did he die from a guy in a bowtie?
Did he lie? Did he try to fly?
How high was this guy?
Did he do or die, or just say hi to the wrong guy?
I don't know why he died from a guy in a bowtie,
but I'm sure his momma cried.

I think that Ten Crack Commandments solidified his position as one of the best ever. That's probably my overall favorite. Apparently after he recorded it is when BIG declared himself the greatest to DJ Premier. That stupid ass Notorious movie depicted it differently. Also, Snoop was at the studio that day.

At least Born Again had Dead Wrong, Come On (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7dV-OfL02c&feature=related), and Rap Phenomenon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R6bHP8x4Mc&feature=related).
But yeah, Duets was ass cheeks. Especially since most of those "duets" featured like 5 people each.

Ay yo Mike, Ass cheeks could be kinda nice sometimes though...
but yeah, "Duets" was horrible.

I don't think anyone was trying to change your mind in particular. At least I wasn't.
