when you're out and about, going about your business, doing what you gotta do, and then lift up your arm to, say, reach for something, or wave to someone, and you realise that your deodorant is failing (or, perhaps, you have failed to put it on in the first place, for whatever reason, like maybe your 3 year old spilled her Cheerios down the front of her pajamas while you were in the process of getting dressed, just for example)?

And there's nothing you can do about it, so you have to go about the rest of the day until you get home, wondering if anyone else is noticing that you are maybe a bit more smelly than you'd ideally like to be and feeling really self- conscious about it?

I can't remember a deo related incident, but I once arrived at a summer party in a skirt, and sat down and only then noticed I'd only shaved one leg. Nice!

I was actually sitting on the grass but yes, there were deckchairs and picnic blankets and the like. One of those few lovely summer days we get here

yes.

Anytime that happens, I stop in to the store for a stick if I know I won't be home for a long time.

This is how I end up with 4 sticks at home.

Same same, I have three going at any given moment.

If China's anything like Europe you're most likely not the smelliest person in your immediate vicinity anyway.

are your pits really that stank that you can smell them on a regular day over all the other garbage out there?

Dude, where do you think I spend my time? I dunno about you, but mostly I do try to avoid hanging out in places that smell like garbage.

I usually start out self-conscious and then forget about it. Or I buy a stick. I've got one at work, one at my house and one at the boyf's. I'm not very stinky, but I do get sweaty (and thereby a bit stinky) if I'm not wearing antiperspirant.

I have a habit of carrying around deodorant now though.
