View Full Version : Complete Life 180
So, as I mentioned in TOY's fitness thread a while back, I've been doing P90X for the past 2 months. I don't mind telling you all that now I'm a fucking beefcake. Well, I always have been, but now I'm REALLY buff. When I started, I weighed a soft 198 lbs. Now, I'm seriously ripped and my weight's down to 168 lbs. It's pretty much a crash course the first month, considering I lost 15 lbs in 9 days. I've never been motivated like this before. It's all foreign to me. Not to mention, I quit smoking last week too, the day before my 30th birthday (btw, Thanks for the thread, assholes. I kid, DDD's usually the one to start my bday thread, so she must've been busy). I wore a patch for a few days then realized it wasn't doing shit, so I'm rollin cold turkey. Life's good.

all i need now is a winning season by the bucco's and all will be right with the world
you change your diet big time? Or are you still eating the same? Cause I would think that would be key.

But a 180 is just turning around to see where you came from. A 360 makes sure you are looking forward.

PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN.
I kids, but good on you dude!
I've started going to this crazy training joint in town once a week on top of my normal YMCA gym membership.
Shit makes me want to die, but goddamn do I feel good once the hour of torture is done.

It just feels nice to push myself once in awhile, when I hit the Y im usually just putting in an hour on the elliptical while watching episodes of the wire on my ipod (aka not really giving it my all)

Man, there's a ton of good shit in here.
Diet has changed drastically. I eat A LOT of fish and veggies.

I feel sort of chunky after last winter, soft and chunky like those cookies. The only exercise I've had all winter is walking my dog 3-4 miles everyday, but that doesn't really cut it for my health or physique, it's just a break even proposition.
I think my motivation needs a bailout program or something. I'm at 200 lbs, which isn't bad... but for my size i should be @ 199lbs.
I think that is how I'll work it, "One Pound at a Time" till I'm down to 180.
Cheers for you and doing something positive (y) in your life.

Many smart folks who understand diets and don't want to sell a bunch of books recommend this diet as the best. When I was a Pescatarian, I was at my healthest. My problem is I really like beef ice cream. A lot.

Veganism works so well for me. I'd be so much heftier if I weren't. I work out a couple times a week, though not as often as I should and not as hard as I should. I got out of the habit of doing it regularly a few months back and working my way back to where I was has been difficult. And of course the longer I go without, the harder it is to keep the asthma in check. Luckily my jorb is super physical and so are my extracurriculars

I recommend not using canned tuna for the grilled ahi tuna salad, but do recommend subbing the arugula leaves with baby spinach.
