now i know its not till june but am exicted about going to glastonbury festival. not been for a coupla years and really looking forward to it. Not all the line up has been announced yet but word on the grapevine (practically confirmed) is that on the sunday night i have the choice of the following:

Pyramid Stage headliner - Stevie Wonder. Wouldnt necessarily pay to see the man on his own but he's done loads of great songs, a living legend, could be a really great glasto moment. plus its stevie wonder!

or

Other Stage Headliner - Orbital. One of my three favourite bands. Reunited after retiring after glasto 2004. i went to see them last year on reunion tour, got everything by them , seen them loads but love them to bits and didnt get to see their farewell glasto gig and this will probably be there last glasto gig.

I think i know the answer but my dilemma is that i feel like i am cheating on orbital if i go and see the unsighted one.

What would you do?

Go for the band you love.

Go for the band you love.

not so sure it shouldnt be a case of "love the band your with"!

There's going to be nothing new at the orbital gig and the idea of seeing thousands of people on the pyramid field rocking to superstition is very tempting. I think i am going to see wonder for an hour or so and id he's done a load of my favourites, i'll peg it over to the other stage and watch the end of orbital depending on how twatted i am and how muddy it is.

I'll probly change my mind a million times

when is that? If its before end of june, let me know what it was like and what sort of set it was. I believe he's one of these buggers who doesnt do same set twice but it'd be nice to have some knowledge.

Dour festival in Belgium is by far the best I've been to.
There is a wide range of music on 7 different stages, the people are the most relaxed crowd I've ever experienced (as in: you can get to the front of the stage even as a show starts and no one pushes you aside), You can just lie in the grass and watch the bands, It's located in a tiny village near a beautiful lake and the entrance control is very relaxed as well. So you can bring your own booze to the campsite and noone will care. Good times.

http://dourfestival.be/

Most looking forward to:
Faith No More, Atari Teenage Riot, Chris Cunningham, Gwar (lolz), De La Soul, Simian Mobile Disco, The Sonics.

There are still 150 bands to be announced and I'm sure they'll be good ones.

I went to pukklepop in belgium a few years ago - that was excellent, camping arrangements kinda sucked the way they forced everyone together but the crowd where amazing - not many english in sight to which is also a good thing. I hate the english.

Dour does look cool though. Shame I have no1 to go to festivals with this year (n)

Wow, Chris Cunningham does live sets? On the site they compared it to Aphex Twin and Hecker's 2009 video set, which was fun, right until the Che Guevara autopsy and scatological ending.

Might be tempted to go just to see FNM.

And Orbital is back! I didn't know! I'd love to see them live... no holland gigs :(

if you havent seen orbital then you need to , if you have then go and see them this time round, they have mixed it all up a bit and made it all a bit fresher and dont end the set the same way they always used to
