His solo stuff was pretty good, too. Not as great as the first two Big Star albums, but good. "Dali Lama" is a cool song.

Still have to give "Third" another shot. Never liked it that much, but it's got an interesting rep.

I thought I would post this video of the Box Tops Lip Syncing "The Letter" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD9mCp8SifM), Alex is probably 18 or 19 in the video. The Box Tops fall apart beautifully as the tape rolls.
