I just searched the music forum and was surprised there were no topics on this band. Anyone loving the debut album? I just bought a couple tickets to the Boston gig in June.

I got the CD. It didn't set me on fire after a few listens but it's good and in rotation pretty often. The balance isn't as even as I expected, it seems like homedude from The Shins has a little more of a heavy hand than Dangermouse but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I'm going to the Seattle show.

ya, after a few listens I wasn't too impressed. But it is really starting to grow on me. Mongrel Heart and the Mall and the Misery are my faves. I think the show will be decent. (y)

Yeah, after looking at this thread I played it through on my iPod. There are some really nice melodies and Shins guy sounds good and the production sounds really good. Mongrel Heart is a good un, though the melody reminds me of Meds. The beginning of The Ghost Inside reminds me of something too, Santogold's LES Artistes. But I like that one too.

Being a recovering fuck up I really like "The High Road (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36Gy_0H-ka8)"
'cos they know, and so do I
The high road is hard to find
A detour to your new life
Tell all of your friends goodbye
It's too late to change your mind
You let loss be your guide
Much better album than the Gorillaz
