I think mine was Wizard of Oz. I also remember falling asleep in the back window sill of our car at a drive in showing a musical called 1776.

First movie I ever went to see was either Apple Dumpling Gang or For the Love of Benji.

Et tu?

My mother used to tell me stories of how she had to take me home from the movie Bambi because I was bawling so loud and would not stop. I'm guessing I probably saw a movie before that.

I think my first theater experience must have been Bambi...I would've been 3 when they re-released it. I cried a lot and was upset by it, but I also loved the bejesus out of that movie.

I can't exactly recall though. I remember my dad and his wife watching some movie about vietnam and seeing a guy get shot in the head. It traumatized me for a long time. They just laughed at me. oh, adults.

I used to like Grease a lot. I didn't really watch too much t.v. or movies until the late 80's.

This is weird. I can only remember seeing Mrs. Doubtfire first before anything else and only the second movie was at the theater which I watched Aladdin. But Aladdin came in before Mrs Doubtfire. I was like 5 years old at the time I dont remember anything else before then.

Batteries Not Included is the first movie I watched at the cinema (http://beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=89094). As for the first ever - I can't remember. I vaguely remember getting our first television when I was about 3-4 (we was poor relatively) so I doubt I got to watch much before that.

I assume we are talking about movies at the movies and not on TV or video at home. I know I saw The Little Mermaid at the movies, that didn't come out until late 1990 in the UK which made me 5 at the time.

Oh, and they still used to show 2 features back then, you'd get like a 30 minute short and then the main. Those were the days.

Theatre: Fantasia (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032455/)...it scared the hell out of me...like the whole experience not just the movie itself...

At the drive in: Escape to Witch Mountain (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072951/) and the second feature which we were supposed to be asleep for was Logans Run (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074812/)...which also scared the hell out of me...

The first film I can remember watching is Live and Let Die. The scene with the top coming off the bus left a lasting impression. I was five years old - we didn't have a TV so it was at a cousin's house.

In the cinema it was The Flintstones in... '94? '95?

I can't remember, I was just a little girl, but I remember E.T. was one of the movies I can remember watching at the theater when I was a kid.

Little Mermaid was also my first film (or actualle 'De Kleine Zeemeermin as it's called in Dutch.)
I was 4 at the time, so it had to be in '89 or early '90. I went with my older sister and I don't remember that much of it, except for the extremely long queues at the door and me being frightened of Ursula.

The Poseidon Adventure.

I wanted to see The Exorcist in 1974 but I was too young and my parents said no. They did let me read the paperback.

My cousin took me to see Jaws the next year. I'm still puzzled how they managed to get a PG rating for that film in 1975.

i feel old seeing a lot of you saying video or cinema. Apparently my first visit to the pictures was to see pinocchio but i dont remember it at all. I dont know which was first but the first two i can think of are Condorman and Flash Gordon.

For the record, the first film i watched on video was Superman III.
