Well good question. It will be focused on anything Yauch is doing past and present but I am still gonna do a bit of Beastie Boys news too. Mainly Yauch and when I finally get my gallery up and running I'll post a link. I've spent awhile on it so it should be nice. I'll have the gallery dedicated to all of them though. :p

In fairness to adam, we were never really given any specifics about his treatment what exactly is going on. And thats fine. Its private and his choice.

I understand some fans might be upset about this long wait for the album but it was pushed back twice and that is because Adam wasn't feeling well. I know personally I would not want him to try and wing it and end up weak with no energy on stage or GOD forbid get sick during the hectic promo tour and then what happens? They end canceling shows or Adam doesn't make the promo appearances. I couldn't bare that! And he was super skinny in the last couple of months which was heartbreaking to me. Cancer affects everybody differently. Look at poor Patrick Swayze who died slowly and Farrah Fawcett who was healed completely and then it suddenly came back and she got sick and then died. I hate the wait too but Adam's gotta get well and plus the guys can't suddenly start touring even if he is almost 100% better right now.

They have to get re-hooked back up with venues to book tour dates, get their band together to rehearse, schedule appearances, work on the album release. There is a lot of work involved. They could very well be working on these sort of things as we speak and so September is the date when they'll set it off. We all know they put albums out every three or four years and so they are on target as usual and have always come back to do what they love. I wouldn't worry so much about it. ;)

And about Brett. Well yeah it's easy for him because even though I like him and think he is a good guy I don't see any of his music going platinum. He's just out having fun these days and I don't think he can even be compared to the BB's. :D

Anyway was watching the Critereon Collection and decided to watch the video with supplements again. Yauch is totally brilliant with the camera angles. Then CYH, Then IC etc. etc.

However, here is the catch...This is theyre job, if its time to retire tell us. I worked at the post office with a lady that had worse cancer by far and she was out 5 months and then back at work at 55 years old 11:30pm - 8:00am and then one day she wasn't there, why? because she died. she could have taken early medical retirement but she loved the people at work and loved her job, she knew she was needed and pushed through the pain.

So, am I to believe that she liked throwing mail in slots in the middle of the night more than MCA likes performing or recording??? if so fine.

First of all, there's another 21 hours in the day outside of a short 3 spent meditating; plenty of time left to dedicate to the studio.

Secondly, meditating is far less strenuous than recording. So if he's trying to take it easy, I'm assuming meditation would be the more logical choice.

And lastly, they've got 2 albums in the can already, so why in the world would he be worried about recording at a time like this over letting his body recoup?

I don't understand why some folks gotta be so impatient. I mean up until Yauch's announcement the BB's were performing, doing festivals, making appearances. They were actively working as a band even without the new album. If they haven't been doing that lately then it would be obvious to me that Yauch isn't well enough and Mike said recently they make plans and change them based on Yauch. It's not September yet either. Just be glad we actually have an attentative date. I think that's a great sign that we even got one.

Yauch is not a 55-year-old woman working at a post office.

Yauch is the bass player of a world-famous band. He needs to be fully healed from his cancer before he can return to entertaining his fans. It doesn't take a genius to realize that working as a musician is more stressful than working at some fucking post office.

According to yourself, you've never been wrong before, so this will also come as a shock: you completely misunderstood Yauch's e-mail. When I read it, I thought: "Yauch has a positive attitude about his cancer. Good for him." But when you read the e-mail, you thought: "OH MY GOD! Yauch has gone off the deep end! He thinks meditation alone will cure him!" Yauch never said that, you idiot. I'm sure he's perfectly aware that his cancer requires medical treatment, so stop treating him like a child who believes in Santa Claus and tooth fairy.
