Yes, Kanye's a penis hole, but he's also kind talented. Be that as it may, his upcoming album is supposed to feature outside production from Pete Rock, DJ Premier, RZA, and Q-Tip. He's also made comments confirming that he will be abstaining from any singing, autotune, or general flamboyance whatsoever. More specifically, he's aiming for a "boom bap" sound. Given the overall good quality of his first 2, maybe 3 albums, I think he could be delivering one of the better (rap) releases of the year.

Thoughts?

Yeah I am interested, at the very least. People have whined for what seems like an eternity for the return of a boom bap sound - I'd have to laugh if Kanye West was the one fuckhead who could pull it off. And I reckon he could very well do it.

This is something I will be looking forward to IF he starts wearing a backpack again.

I thought 808s and Heartbreak was pretty decent but clearly not a patch on the previous releases.

POWER (lead off track) is leaking all over the internet today, it's good.

It has a sample of King Crimson's 20th century schizoid man.

nice ass job

I like it (http://usershare.net/2hb6r4ypc70d), but it's not really that return to a more traditional grittier sound he's been promising. It's more like a cross between Amazing and Run This Town. I like it, though.
