I have a problem, and I wanna know what you would do.
My 30th birthday is next month. Its on the 16th which is a Wednesday and I was always gonna do something on the friday 18th. First problem is that England are playing and the city centre will be rammed. I'm not a massive football person and the idea of spending it rammed with others in a pub 4 deep at the bar while people shout and swear at a square box isn't my idea of fun.
Weekend just gone I went to an awesome camping place and I want to go back so I floated the idea round with my friends and family about going on the saturday 19th for the night and there was a reasonable about of yeses & noes. But now, my sister and brother-in-law can't make it because of other commitments they can't put off - deadlines with work and uni etc.
The weekend after they can make but my other sister & and brother-in-law-to-be can't because they are working at glastonbury. But it is my brother-in-laws birthday just after that weekend and he was always planning to do something for it like camping.
So I'm stuck in excluding part of family no matter what I do unless I opt for the shit night out. Ideally I want to do it as near as my Birthday as possible but the world cup is in the way. So...
A. Shit night out
B. Go camping near your birthday (19th) & exclude part of my family
C. Go camping the weekend after, exclude a different part of my family and lose a bit of the moment of it being my birthday week but instead can merge it in with someone elses birthday
D. Spend the week playing WoW, turn off all phones, lock the door and only open to pizza.
