uk came last but thats because our song was crap
contest was comedy gold as usual
germany was always going to win, song had all the right ingredients: lots of hooks, good pop feel, girl with distinctive if anooying voice
and she had a nice bum (yes i am old enough to be her dad)

for the first time in my life I actually watched this thing. not the greatest advertisement for Europe, but consistently hilarious. most of the performances were complete trainwrecks...I couldn't look away.
I'm surprised that Germany won especially after she came on after the superhot Armenian woman with her pushed-up boobies.
the Russians were the most bizarre and I'm still not sure whether it was tongue in cheek.
I based my preferences on which performance employed the most wind and pyrotechnics.

maybe. But its probably more to do with how much you are hated in the rest of the EU this competition.
Arguably, UK & USA make the best music in the world. If there was a Worldvision song contest both these countries would be last. Not seen it for years tho - its when Ireland was winning it all the time last time I saw it but it was hilarious. Terry Wogan was always brilliant but I heard he is stopping doing it or has stopped.

stopped a couple of years ago now, graham norton does it, fucking hilarious, surprisingly, he's more bitchy than wogan ever was.

That's why Germany winning the contest surprised everyone here so much. While all the scandinavians vote for each other and all the balkan states vote themselves, Germany usually has no supporters anywhere (guess why). And this time even switzerland voted for us.
I thought the english song wasn't that bad. It was bad last year (or the year before that) when they had all that stewardesses on stage. But even then not as bad as Germany last year with Dita von Teese who was supposed to but the not allowed to do a strip-show on stage to support the unbelievable bad song of the two golden dressed fags
(guess why)
ooh, I like guess games. Erm, your strong economy? relatively
Well I think that is an excellent barometer of how much the UK has pissed off its neighbours in recent years. Even germany get more christmas cards now.

Speaking of UK's neighbours: it's a shame that fish are not allowed to vote for the songs there ;)
