Well if you make plans and do stuff then fine, all good. but when the wife's hungover from a bbq and the weathers not made its mind up then they are shit. Nothing to do except go on bbmb, whilst she sleeps, the baby sleeps and the eldest watches the mind numbingly boring Tigger movie.
I'll go to the park later, (still got grafitti penises on!) and then do some washing, hoovering etc.

fair enough, but at least you have stuff to do, occupy your mind, well i imagine you do but some bank holiday work is quiet but i'm sure someone will find something for you to do what you being in the forces. Do you get a better rate of pay on a bank holiday in the army? sorry helvete is it the army or something else or is it classified:D
I used to work bank holidays in a electrical retailer and it was always bedlam, it always went pretty quickly but hard work when i could have been having a nice day. still double time eased the pain.

I've had so much to do today and this weekend I've managed to avoid it all with a combination of beer, video games, 24 and family guy. Every time I look at my to do pile my mind shouts BORING and decides to go on the web instead.

Maybe if we were doing something worthwhile, but the guy instructing us is not the best and is really hard to follow. As for pay, I wish we got paid more for it! We could in theory work 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm, bank holidays, Christmas, New Year etc and not get paid a penny more.

I really could have done with today off, but oh well!

I watched about 10 episodes of The Good Wife which have been clogging up my Sky box and have mown the lawn, done some weeding, repotted a couple of plants and chopped my rhubarb. But now I am watching Jack Bauer in some Darth Vader type mask. Ace!

well it turned out ok, had a nice time at the park with the kids, the wife recovered and knocked up a nice roast dinner and we watched channel 4's 100 greatest family films and a nice relaxing day(y). so i was whingeing for nothing really.

Glad to hear it worked out(y). I'm still in the middle of mine and am just now starting to feel human again. I did manage to go to the grocery store, which I hate and it's about a zillion degrees outside. Now waiting for the hubs to get home from work and cook out......
