Does any one know if the B-boys gala footage request happened to become something. I thought it would be the coolest thing!

Man...supremely bummed it hasnt become anything...i only went to the chicago show and had a great time, the show was awesome....and it was all a great concept to have the fans record it all. I do remember problems with the venue...security issues, peoples cameras being taken etc... hmm.

i guarantee it will be released one day. the beasties are certainly smart enough to forge ahead, lets not forget.
im confident they'll have plenty of fun things to unleash over the course of their 'post-retirement' era.
talk about a well-documented group. i think we're covered when it comes to legacy releases; and the Gala footage would certainly fall under that umbrella. (y)

Until I saved the day. I was the guy that actually thought to print and take the email saying it was ok to have the cameras. Security took my letter in and apparently confirmed it with the boys themselves.
They brought my letter back and gave some people their equipment back which resulted in many cheers.
A couple bought my wife and I a drink and their film crew shoved a camera in my face for several minutes interviewing me afterword when they found out I flew up from Oklahoma for the shows.
I because of this really hope they make this video happen.

A live double album from this tour sourcing tracks from the whole range of shows, with a nice booklet, that would really do it justice. Very creative tour, one of their best from what I gather. I have a couple o boots from this era and they are just sick.

Ha ha. A bunch of us were negotiating with security beforehand but they seemed cool.
It would be fun to see something from the event, but maybe the footage wasn't as good as we hoped. I'm no filmmaker, so maybe it looked better on camera than it looked in real life. I can't remember how many official looking camera guys were there or where they were during the show. Maybe I just have a chip on my shoulder because I didn't like the venue. That was no fault of the band. The venue had set up some kind of VIP section without warning (which is one of my pet peeves). So any footage shot in the balcony might feature people sitting on their asses in the front 5-6 rows, which wouldn't make for a fun-looking concert.
I had a lot more fun the next night at the meathead show next to the lake. That was a perfectly lovely evening.

I enjoyed both shows equally. They cut loose a little more by the lake. Was a good time.
