Yet again it's been proved that my name sounds entirely ridiculous in English.
(Richard Herring already once made a shambles of it and accused me of being a man and Here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00sls52)'s Adam Buxton saying it at 1:38)
I can't go with what my friends call me, as 'Nookie' kindof has the wrong connotations.
Suggestions please!

Way back when I was still going out with SercomDJetc..., his mum first thought I was some kind of inuit when she first heard my name. :D
It's a French name though and really rather common in The Netherlands.
I could use my 2nd name, but it sounds a bit... well... Chavvy.

Anouk. It's a nice name, why change it?
How should it be pronounced? Was Adam close?

Yeah, Adam's pronunciation was close, but in English the 'ou' sounds a bit different.

Friends usually shorten my name to just 'Nouk' but I've been also been called Noukerd, Nouksel or Noukz0rz.
I like Nooklear though. Might use that one. :D
What about Dutchess Noukem?
