Just to clarify, this is my Congressman representing my district. Should we perhaps expect a little better from our representatives or is this acceptable?

That is great theater, if the unknown interviewer feels cause for assault, he should file charges.

In the internet court of youtube he looks a bit wimpy hiding his face and not replying who he is.

They should turn the interviewer guys head into that "annoying orange dude's" head. That would be hilarious.

Other than that this is an edited video with blurry faces and all, the article I read this morning said the interviewer had started asking questions long before they reached this point in time.

Well, regardless of how insignificant you feel it may be, he issued an apology, which would indicate a certain level of responsibility for his actions.

Theater indeed.

That's my brother's Congressman too. I've got Walter Jones (R-NC). I find a lot of the time, "Democrat" and "Republican" don't mean much in the South -- I voted for Jones because he was more left-leaning than the Democrat and was against the bloated defense budget. But then he was a total dick about the health care bill....Still better than the Democrat they had running, which is sad.

Either way, dude's nuts. Plus, why the hell would you have a freakout when there's obviously a camera there? The whole thing is really weird and creepy and inappropriate.

I don't think it's insignificant, it's just the shit has been hitting the fan in my own neck of the woods like crazy this past year, the most recent being a teenage girl getting punched in the face (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2012122660_coppunch16m.html) by a cop during a jaywalking incident.

Dude's a tool. I'm stuck with David Price (D)ooooshbag.

Anyhow Navy Seals went up for court marshall for doing this same thing to terrorists. This asshat gets off with an apology. I guess it pays to have a D after your name.

I guess it's more of a seat on capitol hill vs the letter after your name. Anyhow. Stewart had a good skewering of Obama tonight, called him Frodo. Very funny. WIll post vid when it's available.

Yes, if I did something like this and it was caught on film, at the very least I would most likely be arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple assault, and pay a fine. Of course I would lose my state job for unprofessional conduct. I wonder why, if you're an elected official, and you happen to get caught for something like this the general laws that apply to other folks don't apply to you?
