this will be misunderstood or taken out of context, but i hate most sex offender registry requirements. everyone else seems to love all of them, even though they don't know the consquences of the various requirements, or perhaps they just don't care.

what do you hate that everyone else seems to love?

Bob

i wouldn't say "hate" but i don't care for traveling. i dunno, maybe it's just because every time i've traveled it's been with my parents but i feel like the hassle seems to outweigh the fun

but i guess it's hard to have fun with your parents around

i have eyes and a tv.

I have never liked them, sinister looking buggers and those teeth and that bloody noise they make, the conniving way they catch tuna when they get them all into a ball. that is a cunts trick. I know most people think they are cute and dead intelligent and thats another reason. I dont trust them.
I dont eat tuna but its got fuck all to do with dolphins getting caught in the nets, i dont eat tuna cos tuna gets caught in the nets.

I know a couple of comedians and the simpsons have expressed similar views but that just confirmed my views, i have never liked them since an early age.

Twilight - stupid and boring
Sex and the City - stupid and offensive
diamonds - waste of moneyI also hate:

Folks thinking Beyonce's voice is actually good. Sure, the girl can make club hits but when she tries to do something that let's say, Aretha Franklin could pull off, Beyonce CANNOT achieve that. Period. No amount of reverb can help her. Hearing her voice and hearing it crack when she tries to hit the high notes on "Halo" inspires bleeding of the eardrums.
Alicia Key's "No One". Alicia on the other hand has the voice and ability to pull off songs that require a strong, powerful voice (i.e. "Empire State of Mind") but she was trying to make "No One" more emotional by making her voice overly strained and um, it just sounds awful.

There's one store down here that... I don't know what station they use or what service they've picked, but every time I go in there, this song plays at some point. It's not an awful song, but I'm awfully sick of it.

Most music labelled r&b, very much including the kind of shrieking,show-off vocals ndoz was talking about. I just don't get the point of it or why anyone would like it.

I hate why most girls have to look the same, if i see something i like and then see loads of other girls wearing it, i don't want it anymore.

Lols and ilmfaos. I should just stay off facebook because pretty soon i'm gonna shout out someone that i'm pretty fucking sure they're actually not laughing they're asses off, or even out loud, maybe smiling a bit.

And Big Brother....just switch the cameras off. Fuck them

Glee
Glee is definitley a marmite thing, i fucking hate it, well no, i actually hate the people who think the music is amazing. I had to endure the soundtrack the other day without actually knowing what i was listening to, A version of "Bust Da move" by Young Mc came on and i was like ooh this is a good track its the young mc.Conversation then went:
Friend : "No its glee"
Me"Yeah but the original is by the Young MC"
Friend "Well its not as good as this one"
Me" Its a carbon copy of the original"
Friend" Well i havent heard it but it cant be as good as this"

I then put my head in a vat of burning fat due to the very frustrating conversation. I felt much better.
Its not even like the cover versions are inspired reworkings, they just straight covers and people who are into it dont seem to have any notion to explore the original artists any further, they cant accept that the glee versions might be secondary.

i know the actors are talented,i just keep catching bits up and down the channels where they are banging on about being "outcasts" and like the school freaks. How exactly??? They're all good looking and talented. I don't get it. And it's just too sickly bouncy YAAAAAAYYYY.

my wife just bought me 3 pairs of Levis cargo shorts and I'm quite fond of them. Pretty much the only pants I wear are cargo pants and painter's pants. I like them because they're loose fit.

One unpopular thing I hate are these M.C. Hammer type pants I see females wearing lately.

Me too. I have never been aware of the World Cup until this year. It's like out of nowhere it's all over the news, people are lining up at bars at 4am to watch games, it's all anyone talks about in the office.

I can only think it has something to do with my happy little town recently acquiring a professional soccer team.

It's not real though. Americans get interested in something when there is a big game, and they're throwing themselves into this world cup thing now, but they will go back to disinterest after it's over. Unless you're talking about people who actually play soccer.

The same thing happened with hockey during the last olympics.

I have started to hate rock festivals, big event style concerts. In order to see an up and coming band you now have to drive to some fucked up tarmac where there will be 10+ other bands and a nominal headliner. The goal is to get 20,000 to 40,000 paying customers. Rather than me having a nice night down at the nightclub I'm all of a sudden part of an "Event".

Just drive the van to Seattle and play the club. Be a band.

And U2, 200 trucks? Really? 200 trucks? 3 stages in varying degrees of setup, tear down or on the road? Major cities and multiple jetliners? 60,000 plus arenas? WTF?

Bob
06-26-2010, 03:51 PM

That's pretty messed up.

If you're going to use a community as a prop, you should really give back generously.
