For me, Advantage: Eisenberg.

I've only watched him in 2 movies, Adventureland and Zombieland (huh), but that's enough to know that I like him better. If Michael Cera and Andy Samberg had a gay baby, it would be Jesse Eisenberg. He just seems so unpretentious and his movies don't suck. Fom what I've seen, Cera's movies do not suck either, but he's kind of turning into an asshole, from what I gather. I kind of start to naturally detest someone if I notice my tv starts to become saturated with their image. I was so happy for him at first. George Michael made good! But hearing about him going full diva and being all "*SIGH*, I GUESS I'll do the Arrested Development movie" really pissed me off. Mother fucker, that show made you, so show some respect.

Not to mention that I know Cera's the indy sweetheart, but I thought Adventureland had more of an indy film feel than any of Cera's movies....Juno included.

Thoughts?

When it comes to Cera I've seen a couple episodes of AD (though he wasn't really in either of the ones I saw that much), (most of) Superbad, Juno, and Year One. The only movie I've seen with Eisenberg is Zombieland. I'd have to give the edge to Eisenberg as well. He seems more like an actor, whereas Cera seems to be playing himself. And I've heard the same thing about his attitude toward the AD movie and that's pretty lame. So yeah I'm going with Eisenberg. Zombieland kicks ass.

THE SQUID AND THE WHALE is a must see.

I like both of these guys, but if you like Eisenberg at all, you should see SQUID.

Oh crap. I did see that a while back. I totally forgot he was in that. Great flick. Only further's my notion.

The little brother is Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates' boy.

Me -- I like both of these guys. They have their niches, and that's fine -- they both do really well. Youth in Revolt actually suggests Cera might have some range, as well. But anyway -- in what he does, he's got amazing nuance. I think he's the real deal.

I also think I "like" Eisenberg more as a character, but I'm ready to see both of them spread their wings a bit. Hopefully some directors or casting directors will start thinking outside the boxes these guys have been cast into so far.

Looks like I get my wish -- for Eisenberg, anyway. He's playing Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher's THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Comes out in October.
