New album kills. Their last one, The 59 Sound, is one of my favorites of all time, a perfect order of songs where each one compliments the last. I knew this new record would have a very tough time matching their last, and looked foward to picking it up. The lyrics seem more personal, and the melodies are beautiful and easy to chant along to. The Springsteen references are fewer on this new record, which i'm sure they did on purpose to reduce the comparisons. Pick it up if you enjoy Bruce Springsteen, The Loved Ones, New Jersey, or bare bones rock n roll.
