"Al Qaeda, drug cartels, illegal immigration, and now bootleg pinatas are threatening our national security. We're doomed."
Thats lame. A law was broken and the border agents enforced the law. To compared making bootleg consumer goods, in this case, with illegal immigration, drug cartels, and Al Qaeda is immature on the "reporters" part.
Disney and any other company has the right to expect their intellectual property to be protected.

sure, but is protecting intellectual property really border patrol's purpose? it seems to me that there are (should be?) other channels involved with that. but i dont really know.

"CBP is one of the Department of Homeland Security’s largest and most complex components, with a priority mission of keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S. It also has a responsibility for securing and facilitating trade and travel while enforcing hundreds of U.S. regulations, including immigration and drug laws."

Nah, I'm just saying that if people are going to be upset on illegal immigration and how its enforced, they shouldn't be upset about the border patrol doing their job, in this case preventing illegal consumer goods from coming into the country. Lets say there is a Pinata store in Arizona run by a third generation Mexican-American family who buys legally and then these illegal pinatas come into town to another store which undercuts the price of the people doing business legally, and then the other store closes down because they can't compete. Plus, are these illegal pinatas up to the safety standards of those that are made legally? Uh oh, a child hit the illegal pinata and a staple flew into a kids eye. Lots to think about for a simple border patrol check.
And I just don't like the writers tone. Thats like people who get upset with cops who give you a ticket for jaywalking and saying they should be out there stopping rapes and bank robberies instead. No, they should be enforcing all of the laws, no matter how minor. A week ago, a jaywalker was killed in front of my house by a passing car.

Point taken.
But it's still funny.
I wonder if the officers made jokes about the semi-ridiculousness of their situation while they were taking care of buisness.

I wonder what they did with them? Thats got to be some great pictures of dozens of Disney characters buring in a lot or being smashed in a trash truck.
