1539 inbox emails

That's right, I have a ton of useless personal (junk/sales/notifications) email. It would take a few hours to clear it all out. Is that too much or am I normal? (I've deleted 1000's throughout the 7 years I've had my account)

My work email is up to 500+ and probably less than 20 really matter.

How much bullshit is in your email account, I'm figuring I'm about average but maybe I'm just as fucked up as I think I am.

I used to have almost 1000, but I got it down to 20 or so...now it's back up to 334.

I usually just search common email subjects from like stores or sites that send regular email and delete them in bulk.

I have 478 pages of emails total. I'm sure I could just delete everything and be fine though.

my inbox has 839 total messages, but only 90 starred messages which are the only ones i really have any reason to keep.

i too will search out and delete in bulk. facebook is the top culprit by far though, and they all go to the trash as soon as they are read.

I've got a separate e-mail address for Facebook which I never check. Started it to keep the spam minimum, but there's no spams.
Also I've got separate e-mails for "work", competitions and several all around which I use on different sites. There must be all together thousands of unread mails as I've got both eBay and Google searches on Beasties, BRMC and all their members' names (and loads of other stuff on eBay notifications....) which I sometimes delete a whole page at a time. Also I'm on the mailing list of dozens of bands and magazines, I want to keep up to date....

I get a lot of band email too. Then the band email ends up generating a lot of line nation stuff, I also get endless travel deals from expedia and travelocity, due to my willy nilly 2007 - 2009 go for broke USA credit card vacationing. Which I'm still paying off but do not regret one second.

I guess if I look at it in the correct light I get about 5 times more junk mail in my email which is the same proportion as my snail mail.

Just seems like a lot of bullshit enters my stratosphere without me initiating it. The worst is political email or causes, he urgency they assign themselves ultimately makes me delete even faster.

I had over 10,000 threads in my personal email inbox. I started trimming the fat a couple of days ago. There are easy culprits, Live Nation/Ticketmaster, Facebook. It feels good to get that number down.

The most part of my junk emails are from some company which insists in sending me shit related to 'increase the size of your penis'.
I wonder how they got my email... :rolleyes:
