I have no idea why, but for some reason I find this really intriguing. It's no longer a kick to the head any more. Could just mean they're up to some other cool shit.

While I'm not counting on it, it would be great if they've just been inspired that extra mile and have decided to really dig in further and fill out HSC even more.

Or how cool would it be if they came back in 2011 with a whole new, different record and HSC Pt. 1+2 became like one of those lost tapes that they release years after the fact.

Health issues aside, they probably listened to it and in fact decided it is not what they wanted to put out. Good for us in the long run. A couply tracks on an EP wouldn't hurt, mind. ;)

Exactly, good point. Just hearing from a source on the inside still isn't enough. If the band isn't making a statement then I would think that is because they are still unsure and they don't want to tell us something and it end up turning out another way. I think they are holding out to see what they wanna do. I do still wish they'd give some sort of update though.

I am totally fine with a delay but what bothered me was somebody saying they are on hiatus for a few years. I mean that's something completely different.

This doesn't come as a suprise to me. In fact I was hedging my bets that they would either scrap the whole thing or give it a complete sonic overhaul.

I just doubt the guys could properly get behind a body of work they finished a while back with the same vigor as say something they just freshly completed.

Nobody is complaining. Most of us are simply asking for an update because we feel left in the dark. Also ADAM does not have cancer. He did at one time but it's since then been removed and he has been going through treatments. My first concern will always be for his health but we'd like to hear from the band to know what's going on. Nothing wrong with that especially since the fans love them and wanna know everything is OK.

I totally want to believe that news but I looked it up online and read her on the forum that that December date is just a placeholder because they have no clue when it will be released. :/ I hope it happens though.

Just wanted to add the update here that MictoMic tweeted earlier that Capitol records did finally respond and said that "Hot Sauce Committee" will NOT be released in 2010.

I think it isn't so bad because A Yauch needs to get his energy back, but man once he does they have 2011 to rule the charts, tour and everything. Good signs to me are seeing Yauch out and about. He's looking great. Here's to the future. :p
