The admins here are pretty laissez faire these days. Is it like Superman where you have to say their name and they come to the rescue?

Or Candyman where you say it three times and they fuck your shit up?

I am part of the admin for the forum on the WoW guild I run (yes, I know everything about those few words say DORK but whatever) and I hate all who post there.

So take a hint from that.

Bye-bye trolls? Blizzard forums to use real names

NEW YORK—Activision Blizzard's move to require people to use their real names if they want to post messages in online forums for games is the latest sign that online anonymity is falling out of favor with many companies.
The change upset many gamers who prize anonymity and don't necessarily want their gamer personas associated with their real identities.

Activision Blizzard Inc., the company behind "World of Warcraft," said Tuesday that the new rule will go into effect later this month. It will apply first to forums about the highly anticipated "StarCraft II," out July 27; other games are to follow.

Blizzard says making people use their real names will cut down on nasty behavior and trolling in the forums and create a more positive environment.

so cant they just give somebody elses real name? or do you have to put full details (bank/house etc) to register?

Yeah, big discussion about that on our forums but I never use the official ones so it doesn't effect me. It'll have no difference tho, trolls just get more attention. Easier to just ignore them

Its subscription so they have your details or your Credit Card details wouldn't match. But then I suppose you could just buy a game card. Ok for new players I suppose but existing accounts probably wouldn't of seen this coming thus trusted 'em with their real details..

Majority of people are against it.
