I walk up to my normal little spot to have my smoke break, (yeah dammit, back at it again) and while walking there, I start to notice the smell of pot and it's getting stronger as I walk to my spot.

I get to my spot and about 100 feet away from where I usually stand, I notice 3 guys passing a joint. I pay no mind to them, light my smoke and start flipping through my mobile and surfing the internet like I always do.

One guy was dressed in a typical downtown alliance janitor outfit and the other 2 were dressed in casual clothes. The guy dressed in the janitor outfit was saying, "yeah, I just clean toilets for a living, unlike this guy making $50 an hour and getting paid to text on his mobile."

After I heard that, I look over and see one of his pals texting on his mobile so I pay no mind to it.

Next thing I know, I hear the guy say, "yeah, you heard me didn't you, bitch." After I heard that, I kind of had the idea he was talking to me. He said it again and I just ignored him.

He probably has a problem with authority since I was in uniform but I have no authority over him since he was on public property. If he were on my jobs, property, his face would have been buried down on the cement with my knee on top of his head. I see people smoking pot on our property all the time and I just tell them politely to go elsewhere with it but since this guy was being a punk and all, I would have slammed his ass.

But anyway, if I would have confronted him about it, it wouldn't have made a difference. It's still unclear if he was talking to me because he was standing 100 feet away and if he wanted to be a man, he would've walked over to me and talked shit because I was just minding my business.

Seriously, if he has got that much of a problem with people who make more money than him or whatever, or that he cleans toilets for a living, he's got nobody but himself to blame.

I had to earn my uniform and I was smoking pot at his age and working in getting nowhere restaurants till I had a wake up call and did something about it but I never blamed anyone else of my stupidity.

When I got back home in 06, I started smoking pot again but I made sure I had a decent job that paid good before I did and luckily there was only the first initial drug test and none after that or I wouldn't have even started up again. I quit pot again because I'm looking for a better job right now.

I dunno, people are stupid.

also, have you considered rolling cigs? that helped me save money and i got down to 0-2 smokes a day. hope to eliminate them completely...some day. perhaps tomorrow, i'm getting my wisdom teeth out. eep.

Someone was getting in the bus driver's face last night. He was obviously smashed and when he got off the bus he was trying to start fights with anyone on the street who happened to walk past him.

lol, this is true, telling me how shit it is really doesnt help, i know its meant well but its like more pressure to me if that makes sense i've often thought warnings on the packets should be changed to complete lies, like "smoking is fucking ace it tastes of cheesecake" or whatever. I reckon loads of smokers would quit after that bit of reverse psych.

also, are you using fiters on your rollies, if not you are smoking about 8 cigs worth (depending on how much you put in of course. filters reduce shit by 60% or summat

I just finished a survey on NYS quitters and requested free patches. I quit pretty good for a year on the patches and I really want to try to quit forever.

I don't even know why I started back up. I guess extra stress because of waiting for the home loan approval but I don't like to make up excuses.

I'm tired of affecting the people around me with my second hand. Tired of having ashes on my clothes. My finger get stained real easily so I have to scrub them everyday.

i always said i would quit when they the price of a cd single a few years back but now its getting to price of a full album and i still aint shook them.

I have signed up for a quit prgram thru work that starts in a few weeks but have been already demotivated by a couple of people i know that have quit for nearly 2 years and they started again. Its very hard to think that its going to always be there without having any cigs.

Some of them took a few months after reading it but they're definitely done smoking now and they have never gotten gum, patches or any other thing to help quit.

I'm the only smoker on my shift now and they're all encouraging me to read the book. I'll try anything right now. I'm about ready to have a great NY mortgage and I surely can't afford to pay for the outrageous prices of cigs here.

I used to roll my own, I had the rolling machine, I'd buy tobacco by the tins and bought filtered tubes and I saved so much money that way but I wasn't saving myself from all of the health issues in which I can feel nowadays. My chest feels tight, I'm coughing up so much junk and I get out of breath just by 5 minutes of riding my bike.

i have read some of that book, there is a copy in the house somewhere. i tried reading it last time but didnt stick to it. apparently you supposed to read it before you quit to achieve success.
amazing to think though that allen carr quit for 20 years and died of lung cancer. Its quite inspirational that, i'm not being sarky. I mean he might not have had that 20+ extra years and thats already motivated me a bit more. I'll dig that book out now.

No, I shouldn't have kicked the guy's ass. I have fought and won against bigger guys when I was confused and pissed off about everything.

I fought in this stupid war only to get away from things from my last marriage but still, it was useless. The waste of money for the company I worked for to be in the mid-east. I believe I did an important role while being over there but still, a lot of shit you see on the news and whatnot clearly gives no justice for the P.C.s nor the military over there.

Still though, if he were on my property, I would have had to do something about it. It's what I get paid for. To detect and deter and it could have been some employee walking from my building and he could have harassed them like he did me because I'm positive they make more money than him. Also, the contract from my company is under review. It would have been a prime time for something like this to happen.

I still remember the first day on my job there. Some drunk guy was standing outside yelling at the employees as they walked out of the building and I was right there standing post. I didn't do anything. Verbal abuse, yeah, whatever, nobody knew who this guy was. Then he started swinging so that was it. I put him to the ground and waited for the cops.

I'm not here to talk about how much of a tough guy I am but if people want to be stupid and be dicks about it, just blow it off unless it gets out of control and this guy was just saying his mind while enjoying some mary jane. He knew his realm and I knew mine.

I don't use filters, they're hard to come by. Should try to find some though. I only put about a quarter of the proper amount into a cigarette. I sometimes cut the papers in half. and if I don't do that, I generally can't finish the whole cig anyway and toss it. Still, obviously not so good for the lungs, but better than even when I was doing a pack a week of camel lights. bleh. I can't smoke a "real" cigarette anymore without getting a headache.

I don't want to be a smoker, I should just not do it at all. It's just so hard not to when there's beer around. :(
