Not a huge fan of the original, never seen a sequel, but I'm curious.

it was okay with some pretty illogical moments, a ridiculous swordfight, and a very bad cameo by someone who's usually really good. 6 is kinda generous, but it was watchable.

Took this in the other night as part of a family guys'-night-out-for-a-double-feature tradition. I was expecting some real schlock but was pleasantly surprised to see a real effort to encapsulate some of the best things about the original. Obviously there's only so far you can go in terms of taking it seriously but if you're willing to suspend your disbelief a little more than usual it's actually a thoroughly enjoyable bit of fun. Yes the swordfight (and plenty else) is ridiculous - but it's the good kind of ridiculous, dammit! If you go in with tongue firmly in cheek it's worth your time. 7/10.

On the other hand maybe watching "Avatar: The Last Airbender" immediately beforehand just made "Predators" seem that much better by comparison. Somebody ought to put M. Night Shyamalan out of his misery. He is clearly crying out for help.

I think the swordfight could have been fun, but the staging and acting was just awful. And the second to the last fight was nearly incomprehensible.

Haven't seen Predators yet. Usually don't go to non-family movies in the theatre. Saw The Last Airbender, and balls it did suck. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad, but I shelled out the extra cash so the family could see it 3D. After the movie I promtly received three guest passes. My balls are still water logged from the sucking.

i quite liked it. it was good, silly fun and it was very much in the spirit of the original. possibly too much like the original in parts.

wasn't perfect mind. some bits were just stupid.

but over all, i enjoyed it.

haven't seen it yet but am looking forward to it. cannot believe that it is already time for a remake of predator. but adrien brody has already sold it to me. giggidy.

FWIW, it's not a remake. It's supposedly based on a script Rodriguez wrote right aftter he saw the first one.

i just realised something. At one stage a character notes that 'the sun never moves', yet later on its night time.

I think the line was "the sun hasn't moved since we got here," but yeah.

i didnt get why morphias was talking about seasons like it was years then as soon as the pianist and that chick killed the last pred more boxes start falling like its another season. so if that was the case morphias would have only been there like 2 weeks or some shit. instead of like 10 years or whatever.

My guess was that after the Super Predators ship blew up and all of them killed they decided to not wait for another cycle/season and go ahead and send another group. Kinda like, three more Super Predators were given the go ahead to "play through".

no doubt. i liked the idea of the movie and some elements of it, but overall it wasn't as good as i thought it would be.


the first one has such a badass cast that its so hard for other predator movies to measure up.

The design is so poor that I couldn't remember which one I was supposed to root for, and the way it was shot, I don't think I would have been able to tell the difference even if I remembered.

this movie pretty much fucking rules.

a brilliant sequel to the original, which ignores everything else in between.

all the fights were great, including the sword fight.
