Due to the lack of new threads, I thought I'd throw this out there...
My biggest b boy sob story was in 1996 during what would have been the Rhyme and Reason tour consisting of the boys and rage against the machine. At the time these were my two absolute favorite bands. This show was coming to my home town of Buffalo, my sister bought my ticket as a b-day present and unfortunately, as most of you remember Mike D. had an unfortunate lowrider bicycle accident messing up his shoulder I believe. Shortly after, Rage broke up and that was that. To my knowledge the boys had never been in Buffalo before, maybe LTI era, but I don't think so. And even though the 96 show was canceled, the boys never made it back to the B-Lo again. I almost shed a tear that day. Since then, I finally saw the Beasties in Toronto in 2004 during the To the 5 Boroughs tour, which was the greatest concert of my life. But I always think, what might have been? Will they ever make it back to a city they almost toured in? Can't wait for HSC. Boo frickin' Hoo!!!! Any other horribly sad stories?

Rhyme and Reason was 99/00.
I had tickets to that in Boston. Busta Rhymes, No Doubt & At The Drive-IN. It would have bee an amazing show.

Got way into the bboys in junior high. My first opportunity to see them live was my freshman year of high school, 1999, at The Tibetan Freedom Concert at Alpine Valley. Got dropped off by our our friend's mom. Spent the whole day waiting to watch the beasties that night. Out of nowhere, Run DMC shows up, plays a surprise set during the Beasties' slot. Pushes the bboys back. By now our ride has been waiting to pick us up in the lot for over an hour and a half. Had to leave without seeing the bboys. And as we drove away from the venue, we could hear the opening stabs of Sabotage ring out from the distance to open the set. :(
Rhyme & Reason Tour, still have my untorn ticket I think :(
The Lollapalooza pre-show last Summer, still have my tix for that one too :(

I have no bad stories other than just getting kicked in the head at a few shows back in the day. The crowd in the front were so aggressive and nuts but I'd get kicked in the head any day to be close-up to the guys so it was well worth it. (y)

dude you really should have just jumped on the grenade on that one and have him autograph your man tit. pussy, your obviously not a real fan. :p
...and I am pretty sure that everyone was disappointed by Mike D's crash before the Beastie/Rage tour. But fortunately I have seen both and RAGE does kick so much fucking ass its unbelievable, but Beastie Boys had more B B B BASS.

Cuz its lies. No way, no how did that happen. Maybe you confused Adrock with Danny Boy or B Real. Better check your specs.

have already shared my devastatingly bad decision making by choosing the chemical brothers over beastie boys on here. aside from that i have to agree when i did see rage at the same festival several years later they were fucking awesome. now, i have to accept the boys are most likely not going to come out to australia again and i will have to spend $2000 on a flight to get over to europe/US to see them when they next tour. such is life.

ha! That's your sob story? I LOVE that beat but yeah Mike does just spew a bunch of old rhymes. It could have been better. He sounds good doing it though.

sorry jason p, there is no reason to lie. i am sure mr. horovitz has grown up since then, have you ever seen the LTI home video? or an beastie interview from the LTI era?...watch it again, then tell me if you think your altar boy ad-rock would ever say such a thing.
