In a moment of weakness I already agreed to hang out with this person since she had recently become single after a long on-and-off relationship (and engagement!), and I figured she needed a friend. After reflection I remembered just how negative this person is :( She hasn't even spoken to me in about a year! We went to school together and were decent friends, but this person is just SO negative all the time and it's really a chore to be around her. I'm not good at blowing people off, so I'm just going to try to be as ridiculously limiting on my availability as possible.

I can't eat in a place that has wooden chairs.

(note: mostly kidding, i'm not THAT big of a pussy)

Maybe just go see a movie or something so you don't have to talk. Or do some activity like bowling or miniature golf or something.

I'm trying to beat my "how many times in a day can I masturbate" record.

Nah...I too have/had someone in my life as described above. Even bowling will involve a lot of negativity. Blah blah blah, negativity negativity negativity is what you will hear in between rolls (sometimes during).

Just keep making any excuses..the more far fetched, the more they will realize what is up.

I wonder sometimes what people's negativity threshold is. I know one guy I stopped hanging out with who was a dear friend for years, but
his negativity grew pretty wearying. But I often think I'm the negative guy in any group and wonder how fast people get sick of me. It's
really hard to change that way of thinking.

I think it just comes to a point where you have to be blunt honest with someone, no matter what. Even if it hurts their feelings at least you told them the truth AND you will finally be rid of the issue. Sometimes it's something they need to hear as well so they re-examine their attitude in general.

That or they will say fuck you. But hey, once again, problem solved.

"I'm starting a butterfly sanctuary, and I'm after a rare Adonis Blue to kick start my collection, so I'll be out looking for one of those for most of the day. I know I should start with something simpler like a Cabbage White or an Admiral, but I feel like nobody will want to come to my butterfly house if I don't have thisparticular butterfly. I'm also trying to come up with a name for my butterfly sanctuary, so I'll be going to the designers later on to work on a sign for the entrance. Also, I need to spend some time figuring out how to keep the butterflies in one place. I can't just use iron bars. I'm no expert on butterflies, but I imagine they'd be able to figure out how to fly through iron bars in no time. But then again, iron bars tend to be cheaper than electrified fences, so I'll probably just put the iron bars in and then instead of plants I'll just put loads of junk food in there for the butterflies to eat - I figure once they've eaten a couple of dozen buckets of KFC they'll be too fat to fly. Then again, I don't want to overfeed the butterflies so that they die, so I'll probably drop a few lizards in the enclosure just to keep the butterflies on their toes in order to balance things out. Wait... do butterflies even have toes? I should probably know this if I'm starting a butterfly sanctuary. Anyway, bye."
