that looks like it will either be the greatest film ever or the worst.

^pretty much. it looks a combination of every video game ever and I doubt Snyder has the chops to pull it off.

but I didn't like the Watchmen or 300, so naturally I'm pessimistic. Dawn of the Dead was ok though.

This. Although I thought Watchman and 300 were "fine." As in I watched them once, was mildly entertained, but not enough to watch them ever again.

I saw this trailer before Due Date last night... and I gotta say that I think it just looks like it'll be total crap. Which means it will probably be a big hit. Figure... a ton of CGI, a shit ton of explosions, attractive chicks running around in skin-tight leather clothes, and very little thinking required.

This movie was made for the American public.
