Of late, Mike D and Double R have been hanging out. I wonder if Double R has heard HSC.

Jennyb's mad sleuthing skills. They must be about to birth a Perter Parker because she got the scoop.

And while people on this forum may be prone to going off the deep-end about this musing, thinking I'm talking about beats and such, let's not forget Rick's effect simply in a consultative sense on some great artists. Maybe there's an off chance he suggests to them that they could try something.

that's funny. my buddy was at the LA Rage Against the Machine show and texted me midset to tell me that Mike D, Rick Rubin, and John McEnroe we kickin it stage right together. I didn't believe him, til I saw the aforementioned pic from the same night.

I really don't think it's an impossibility that the bboys and rubin could link up again in the future. likely, eh, not really, but I still think it's possible. mike and Rick as you said are obviously pals, and Adrock and Rick used to be inseparable way back in the day. i couldn't imagine any bad blood still remains. they're all older and wiser, not to mention Rick no longer produces with the "iron fist" mentality. that said, on a strictly consultation tip, I think Rick's opinion would be beneficial to just about any artist if even only a little, beasties included.

If they ever do the album Yauch talked about with song structures and guitar chords and such, Rick should definitely be involved.

hmmm, was never aware of that remark. huh. any more details to that?

btw, was Mike's Rick Rubin-produced side project ("World of Hustle") ever proven fib or fact? or is the rumor still just waxing in the abyss of the unkown...

I think it was said during Song for the Man on the Hello Nasty commentary. I listen to 'Give thanks and praises' off Bad Brains last album and wonder why that couldn't be Beasties.

mike's entering the us open first then he's gonna work with RR:rolleyes::D

seriously though, would either Rubin or the beasties want the pressure of expectation by announcing that?

do you think those egos could work together? i don't see the beasties goin..."here, go to town."

Yeah true. I dunno. More time with HSC tracks shows equal parts 'flashes of brilliance' and 'going around in circles'.
