And then the new album will drop, the frenzy will start. Album reviews, shit talking, praise, hate, arguments, love-ins, man hugs, remixes, fist pumping, parrrrrrtaaaaay!!!!

Which will last 6-8 months, then when the newbs (New fans/hipsters) go away, it will be the old timers and the occasional newb once again that keep the BBMB running until the next album. It's a cycle.. Unless the Beasties can keep themselves in the spotlight (Interviews, tour, etc..) they're, sadly, like anything else to 85% of the world, out of sight, out of mind...

Anyone reading this today will likely still be around for years, anyone reading this 2 weeks before they drop the next Multi-Platinum bombshell will be around for 6 weeks max. after HSC is released. (Then they'll come back for HSC Pt2)

Just remembering what I've witnessed after years of lurking, and a couple years as a member..... (I still feel like a newb around here)

Well I am apart of other fandoms and this is normal when news is slow and you've exhausted every topic manageable! I don't think the board is dying, we just need news. When the news comes things will pick up.

In the meantime I've been having quite a bit of fun as a fan to pass the time. The Brouhaha is entertaining and then there are always new mixes to listen to from all of the wonderful DJ's and well I collect photos like crazy so I am always finding a cool rare "something" on the guys. :D

the 2000's are over. the early 2000's were especially ideal for the livelihood of this board, as we all had shaggy hairdos and were 10 years younger and talking about booze, hookers, cars on fire, and the occasional "Oh no! I think I drank too much Robotussin!" seemed so fresh and new - before vice magazine and every hip tight-jeans wearing internetter pre-teen started jumping on the bandwagon and called everything under the broad blue sky "gay".

coming to this board continues to feel like a beat-up restaurant that every now and then you'll see someone you know, but you never hang out longer than a cup of coffee and a cigarette. And when you do see someone you know, you realize everyone is married and somehow it's kind of pathetic to talk about how gay someone's musical choice or haircut or how much Robotussin you did/did not have.

This board still serves as some sort of interesting haunt/timewaster though. I find myself here at least once every 2 weeks or so only to find the number and frequency of posts ever diminishing.
