Praise God! -- I got the room. Still waiting to hear about the job itself.

Part of today's reading was a proverb saying that fretting leads to evil; I was trying really hard not to worry and resisted calling either place. I felt like God told me earlier that I was getting the room and the job, and not to stew over it, but I'm not sure if that was just me wanting it in my spirit or really something from him. I had an appointment for a different room and felt disobedient going, but went anyway. -- and it was really bad. The place was filthy and all the common areas were stacked waist high with dusty books and magazines so the house was literally packed with reading material. Ordinarily that might sound like my cup of tea, but this was like an episode of Hoarders.

This room is really nice and clean, newly rennovated, and in a great location. I'm stoked!

I actually don't think I'm allowed to have overnight guests, but I'll see the rental contract tomorrow. :)

This relieves a lot of stress. I wasn't getting too too too stressed about it because I kept getting spiritual signals not to worry, but I was 10
days away from being homeless. Some friends surprised me with a $1000 loan ("If you can pay it back, fine.." kind of thing) because I was
seriously juggling.

I was hoping to find out about the job today, as well, but it's almost 4:00 PM., so it'll probably be Monday.

Glad things worked out for you!

First step towards eliminating the sense of the absurd in life is not worrying.

Each house has four rooms, and either house has at least one female. I'll know Wednesday which of the two rooms I'm getting, but they accepted my deposit, so its a done deal.

Laundermat is only one block away, which is great for a guy with no car. (y)

A rental contract that does not allow overnight house guests is an affront to this great country and those of us that like to sow our royal oats. How dare those rental morality imposers! I am happy that you found a new place but the thought of not being able to wine and dine and have black coffee in bed the next morning has me biting my nails. Overnight guests for all!!!
