Finishing a song

in the parking lot. Seems that a lot of people can't eject from their car in the parking lot here until they have been able to smoke a cig after a song has finished with them. Its usually hiphop and at a volume where people 30 to 40 yards down can hear it clearly along with the trunk rattling. And I've noticed the windows are usually tinted. Like a 70-30 chance you can't see who's inside.

as a kid, i would always do this with my dad. if i liked the song on the radio, we'd have to sit there until it was over.


now, i can't wait to get out of my car so i could care less.

when i had a crappy mp3 in the car if there was a song that stopped for a second or was building to a crescendo or big chorus or something i used to stop it there then when i got back in it would kick back in. "Hey Boy Hey Girl" by the Chemical Brothers for example.
now i have ipod i take that in work with me so that interesting pastime has stopped.
