The Beastie Boys are one of the least greedy bands I can think of. They take forever between albums and they do pretty much whatever they want not what fans necessarily want.

There lack of greed is a big part of what makes them so likeable.

They're just cynical boardroom robots who think in facts and figures, and everything they do is nothing but a calculated move to get the biggest capital return. I wouldn't mind if the music they put out was half-decent but it's just pop-by-the-numbers chart shit, clearly designed to fit in with the next movie-spin off or advertising contract. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they brought in a totally irrelevant hip young member of the band to corner the Miley Cyrus/Justin Bieber market- but I guess it's just whatever sells eh, Beastie Boys? If the Beasties were so greedy they'd be trying to do collaborations with all of the hit artists out there. You don't see them doing a candy cane cup cake video with Katy Perry do you? Not to mention any rapper names SNOOP DOG. No Beasties walk to the beat of their own drum and you either go with it and accept it or listen to Lil Wayne. ;)

I have benn trying to be patient on this new album, and I understand why they wait. I mean, who would want to hear old shit on a tour. If they wait, it just makes the ocncerts that much better with themn performing newly released stuff... but yeah, it sucks to wait. BTW, anyone in Dallas, we have a huge group of people going if they tour here!!!!
