this thing is so creepy looking up close, it's gonna be quite a sight. a friend of mine wore his to work yesterday and literally made a child cry just by wearing it. i was supposed to wear one too but i didn't get paid in time so i couldn't get a mask. i kind of don't mind because those things are uncomfortable as hell after about 5 minutes, you have no peripheral vision, and you can't really drink through them without a crazy straw. i didn't make any contingency plans, but i still have my home-made mormon name tag from 2 years ago so i'm busting that one out again

Went to a Halloween party last night. It was amazing. I was Betty Boop lol and anyway gotta share this.... It was my friend's gay uncle's party and he had an entire dance area set up with videos of 80's and 90's. They played "Fight For Your Right To Party!" I kept saying all night man I hope they play the BB's and then when the music started my friend and I ran to the dance floor and everybody joined in. Guys were on the floor drunk and singing along. It was an amazing time!!! My best friend is a huge fan too so we were big dorks about it all. :o

the horsehead pub crawl was a smashing success. it was largely a you had to be there thing but loads of pictures were taken, some by me, some by others and hopefully some of them captured the magic, i'll sort them out when i'm sober

there was some magic, i really hope it got captured. there was a dance party but i don't think you can capture that in pictures

here's two samples. i'm seriously disappointed at how shit my phone's camera is because the second one was AMAZING when i was looking at it with my human eyes. i really hope someone with a better camera took the same picture because it was seriously art

the reactions to the horseheads were pretty much the best part. a lot of people laughed and took pictures and enjoyed it but my absolute favorites were the ones who were all new englandy about it and did their best to ignore the dozen people in horsehead masks who were suddenly in their presence. we took the subway and these three girls got on and after literally a solid two minutes one of them looked up and said "whoa, i didn't notice the horses until just now" it was pretty exemplary of the "under no circumstances make eye contact" policy that exists on the T

there was also a homeless guy at the station where we started who was positively enraptured in a conversation with himself about something he was reading in a newspaper, he didn't even notice us. he never lost his enthusiasm about his monologue, but he never looked up, never noticed the horses. i just had to admire his dedication to being a crazy homeless guy because until tonight i assumed that no matter how crazy and no matter how homeless you got, looking up and seeing a dozen people dressed up as horses would elicit at least some kind of reaction from you but nope, he had his own thing.

i love how much just an animal mask can make you laugh, my friend at a fancy dress festival this year had a cat head mask....we had the same thing...no-one wanted to look at her,and we were on the ferry next to the XX van-somehow made it funnier trying to make them laugh too. we didn't, joyless bastards!!

I went as shaggy from scooby doo as it was just so easy. Green vneck and brown trousers. I already have the hair and facial hair. Some people didnt get it. But I random people would be like "hey shaggy". I loved those people.
