Jimmy Carter was president when I was born. Not sure what difference it makes other than to prove that you're older than some people.

Anyway, Jimmy Carter rules. He's a good man who couldn't keep up with the political machine. I don't know if that's a bad thing.

Valvano, don't you want good things for this country? or just for you....
because time after time, you only seemed to be concerned and sometimes delighted with failure. Or maybe you actually enjoy the ceaseless loop of trash swirling around the quagmire of our economy?

What do you stand for?

Yeah Carter's presidency might've been a bore but he has outshown every president since as a Good (and I believe a God fearing) man and philanthropist working with Habitat for Humanity.

too bad vulvano can't see the good in anyone, even a fellow Christian.

Much props for him evacuating Love Canal - looks like bush couldn't do that for the people of the MASSIVE Tennessee coal slurry accident (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingston_Fossil_Plant_coal_fly_ash_slurry_spill) - very much a white wash in the news actually

yeah I didn't hear anything of it either.

oh sure, they polled 900 people and used the term "succeed", not "fail". Do you know what percentage of the U.S. Population that is? 900 people?

it's 2.93153355 × 10-6

And if you're not sure what that means, it's 0.00000293153355%

You're all about the hype man, the spin, the polls, the one liners. grow up, look beyond the end of your nose.

what do you stand for?

If your meaning Jimmy Carter was a Nazi Socialist Muslim Man born in Southern Sudan (possessing fake Georgia US Birth papers) with designs of overthrowing the US government and installing an Islamic law of Sharia design all under the guise of being a Bible Thumping Christian then, yes, by all means I see the comparisons.

If that's what your meaning, looney toons

I can wait for the hostages to be freed after Obama and a time where I don't have to wait in line for gas for hours.

Carter was probably the most Christian man in the White House. No alcohol for goodness sake. Doesn't matter since he was a Dem.

Where is that war hero Bush II anyways? I see a bunch of other Presidents continuing to do civial service after their term...

In 1973, while Governor of Georgia, Carter filed a report on his 1969 UFO sighting with the International UFO Bureau in Oklahoma City.[35][36][37] However, in 2007, Carter stated that he did not remember why he filed the report and that he believes he probably only did it at the request of one of his children. He also stated he does not believe it was an alien spacecraft, but rather believes it was likely some sort of military experiment being conducted from a nearby military base.

Jimmy Carter. LOL.

UFOs aren't always extraterrestrial, cops, pilots, and military personnel have been known to file UFO reports as well

but yeah that's wonky

Jimmy Carter. LOL.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3F3CXspsuo

bill clinton not only had webster hubbell, the deputy attorney general under janet reno, look into the jfk assassination and ufos for him, but clinton admitted (in the youtube link) that he tried to look into what exactly the military and its intelligence units knew, and had in their possession. of course he was rebuked at every turn.

Dorothy Wood

it was 1969, dudes. people were still shocked by ordinary things back then. a UFO is an Unidentified Flying Object, it doesn't mean he called the cops all like, "omg u guyz, aliens!"

He saw a flying object and couldn't identify it, so he reported it. what's so weird about that?

The confidence that we have always had as a people is not simply some romantic dream or a proverb in a dusty book that we read just on the Fourth of July. It is the idea which founded our nation and has guided our development as a people. Confidence in the future has supported everything else -- public institutions and private enterprise, our own families, and the very Constitution of the United States. Confidence has defined our course and has served as a link between generations. We’ve always believed in something called progress. We’ve always had a faith that the days of our children would be better than our own.

Our people are losing that faith, not only in government itself but in the ability as citizens to serve as the ultimate rulers and shapers of our democracy. As a people we know our past and we are proud of it. Our progress has been part of the living history of America, even the world. We always believed that we were part of a great movement of humanity itself called democracy, involved in the search for freedom; and that belief has always strengthened us in our purpose. But just as we are losing our confidence in the future, we are also beginning to close the door on our past.

In a nation that was proud of hard work, strong families, close-knit communities, and our faith in God, too many of us now tend to worship self-indulgence and consumption. Human identity is no longer defined by what one does, but by what one owns. But we’ve discovered that owning things and consuming things does not satisfy our longing for meaning. We’ve learned that piling up material goods cannot fill the emptiness of lives which have no confidence or purpose.

The symptoms of this crisis of the American spirit are all around us. For the first time in the history of our country a majority of our people believe that the next five years will be worse than the past five years. Two-thirds of our people do not even vote. The productivity of American workers is actually dropping, and the willingness of Americans to save for the future has fallen below that of all other people in the Western world.

-Jimmy Carter July 15, 1976

The man tried to warn us and they threw him under the bus for it.

Sir SkratchaLot
09-23-2010, 04:36 PM
no, in a ufo

So you're saying he's an alien. NOW, I see the similarity between the two.
