Since yesterday I've learnt

One of my friends is ill (hospital ill).
That friends mother has been diagnosed with cancer
Another friend Grandma has died.

Ok, before starting this thread I thought I had more bad news but its only tuesday, puts a bummer on the week. I mean seriously; why can't people just be well and stay alive? Silly question I know.

Sorry to hear all this. :( I hear so much about cancer these days it's pretty scary. I mean my aunt is in remission right now, my friends mom died from it and I know countless other folks who've had it.. It always happens to good folks unfortunately. I hope your friend gets better.

I know how it is to get a lot of bad news within a short time period. It sucks. Spending time and talking with friends and family you care about, and time, will help you get through it.
