Wow.
Caught the Shadow show on Friday. Its amazing. He plays inside a giant ball on to which visuals are projects. Visuals are also projected on the background too. At one stage it looks like a giant basketball which is bouncing around on a court. Its great.
The tunes are great too. He's playing a bunch of new stuff on this tour and it all sounds good.
Has anyone caught the free single he put out a while ago? "Def Surrounds Us" and "I've Been Trying"? "Def Surrounds Us" is epic.
Before the show he did a Q&A on stage. He's pretty downbeat about the music industry at the moment, was the main vibe.

never seen him live, always wanted to and i think i have discussed it on here and the general consensus was that he was a bit boring live. this was confimred after checking youtube but your post has got me intrigued again, i havent heard anything since the outsider, how much have i missed?

I would like to see dude live; In Tune and On Time is still in my semi-regular rotation. I'm boring, so a boring show wouldn't be an issue, but I quite like what he does in the live setting.
Did he do a fair spread of his stuff (UNKLE, Outsider and so forth)?

i've seen him twice. the first show had visuals but nothing like this, but was still anything but boring.
the new show is amazing.
he's dropped at least two songs recently from the next record, both good. the stuff he played on tour sound really good too.

Less UNKLE stuff than the In Tune and On Time show. A few from the Outsider (most notably "Enuff") but it was mainly samples of stuff (like "3 Freaks") mashed in with lots of other stuff.
There was much more 'remixing' of the songs than on the previous tour, so he might drop a sample from a song, but never really go into, but he also dropped updated versions of many classics, that kind of weaved in an out. (We would drop the first bars of "Blood On The Motorway" then go off in different directions, before taking it back later on)

Sounds cool. Outsider wasn't my favourite shit, but in the live setting I suppose he likes to reimagine his stuff.
