I know this could maybe go in the music section, but that section gets even less traffic than this one.
So, Dylans coming to town and I wonder at his age is it worth seeing the creepy old prick? ($55)

He applies a country waltzy swing thing in the style of his latest albums live.
he does mostly stand there playing an inaudible piano keyboard and some harmonica. he picks up a guitar for a song or two, and each tune is like Bob Dylan playing Bob Dylan cover songs.
so, Yes.
Remember to tell everyone you originally saw him in 195something and the story of when you was smoking dope together with Robert (as he was known back then) while commenting on how the times are a changing while feeling a little blue about being homesick after living under the ground...
But then he cheered you up buy singing you a song about that about some shoes. Green and made of leather. He said he was thinking of selling the song but one of his music friends said it needed a bit of work. Maybe a noun or two changing - who the fuck wears green shoes right?

if you do go, dont shout Judas.
a few years ago, my boss got a tip off he was announcing dates at the manchester apollo and sent me to go an get 4 tickets in the most torrential downpour, queued up for about 7 hours with a load of old hippies. one of the worst days of my life
my boss said the gig was shit. he's seen him before a few times and apparently dylan is one of these where no two sets are the same and set list can change in a matter of milliseconds.

I bet it was...but it makes me think that 2 friends went to Margaret Cho last week for about the same x 2...which I thought that was obscene for her show...

no, I'd only consider it if he was in a really, really small venue, like a bar or something.

I think you'd have more fun with Seinfeld, but then I'm not much of a Dylan fan.

Adam: Blue is not a noun. Neither is leather in the context you're talking about.

Yup, I've been him live 3 times in the past few years. One show I even paid 89 bucks but I was only about 10 rows in from the stage so it was worth it.
It's sort of like seeing an aging country-western star do Bob Dylan covers but I enjoy that sort of shit, and besides its Bob Dylan man.
