I know of a better invention - it's called a bike.

This would not be ideal in an urban setting because it will take up space additional space in an already crowded environment, operators will be moving at different speeds and stops will also vary causing traffic jams.

As cool as it is, it is just as stupid.

according to the FAQ, it's designed so that if a faster rider comes up behind a slower rider, the slower rider just gets pushed along at the faster pace. stations are on an off-track, so if you want to get off you pull over onto a different track to stop, people on the main track can keep on moving. i dunno how big they're planning to make the stations though if they expect to handle any large amount of traffic. i can't imagine all the people cramming onto the subway from 8-9 AM every day trying to take the schweeb all at once.
