I think the board was acting up during the time this came out.

But here is MORE reich-wing tomfoolery and thuggery and apparently exceptionally illegal (and very anti-Constitution) activity.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA-PUdg5sMg

Two of the goons are enlisted Army, they did not have permission, they acted against the Constitution of the United States, they are in my opinion traitors.

And uh, how about the handcuffing? Isn't that considered unlawful imprisonment? What credentials do these men have that allows them to handcuff anyone?

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/10/27/soldier-at-miller-campaign-incident-didnt-have-permission-to-be-there/

(CNN) – An active-duty soldier involved in a highly publicized altercation with a reporter had not requested permission from his superiors to be part of a security team at an event for an Alaska Senate candidate where the incident took place, a base spokesman said Wednesday.

Fort Richardson spokesman Sgt. Maj. Derrick Crawford said that Spc. Tyler Ellingboe, 22, had not had not requested permission from any chain of command to work outside his regular Army duties.

hey - just using their tone against them

(and the tone of some of the right wingers on this site have used in the past)

we should be concerned of soldiers moonlighting as personal security guards who are willing to violate the Constitution - they swore an oath to it, they are traitors, this is poor vetting from Joe Miller and not speaking out against this behavior only condones the violation of our rights his party supposedly swears to protect.

fuck them

keep on keep on turning your head

and soldiers who do work that directly violates the rights of a citizen who is protected under the Constitution of the United States are traitors and in my eyes wannabe Brownshirts - and I bet there are other U.S. Vets who would agree with me.

It's an interesting story, I cannot believe how many political events have been closed to the public and press during this mid-term. Another eery aspect is that we are engaged in two wars currently and they are the longest wars in the United States history yet nary a blip during the debates Nationwide has been devoted to this time of war.

Also the level of intelligence is incredibly low as across the country ads mostly bought by multi billion dollar corporate interests portend to be average people. That's seriously fucked up. Remember "not true (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCcWuG2LO3E&feature=related)"

I've never felt more minimized by politicians in my life, no wonder bullying is the new hot topic in America.

I just read that in my head with Kenny Powers's voice. It was hard to take what you said seriously but it was also pretty funny. In the future, I sugust you frequenty and impropery use plurals for added effect.

Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and all the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called 'patriotism'.

a significant portion of the ads (though not necessarily the ones with actors faking average people) are bought by multi billion dollar union interests.

i agree about the wars. i'm reading one of bob woodward's multiple books on the iraq war and i'm constantly amazed that 1) i knew so little about why we actually went to war in iraq - and i know realize it's because no one provided a solid answers, and 2) it has completely fallen off the radar in terms of importance to the american public

Union money is being spent, but hardly at the pace as the money being spent by those who stand to profit from the deterioration of the American worker.

Check out all of the special interest money being spent, look at some of the names of these organizations, 2010 Outside Spending by Groups (http://www.opensecrets.org/outsidespending/summ.php?disp=O).

Here is a widget showing the $$$$ (http://www.opensecrets.org/action/countdownwidgets.php) being thrown around to hype up generally a bunch of gas bags... (I'm equally offended by democrats & republicans)

union money is also spent in less visible ways. unions tend to focus on the ground game - registering voters, mobilizing members, and getting out the vote.

From the opensecrets link: My state's republican party is the highest spender of any outside spending state-level group.

The candidate the Republican Party of Michigan spent the most money on this campaign? An incumbent Democrat. They spent 70% more money bashing a Democrat than on promoting one of their Republican candidate. Overall, the Party has spent almost twice as much against Democrats as they have for Republicans.

Are you trying to say that only unions tend to focus on the ground game - registering voters, mobilizing members, and getting out the vote?

The money being spent by unions is traceable, the National Labor Relations Act has definitive disclosure laws which govern union monies in a much more detailed and strict form than the other organizations listed on the link (http://www.opensecrets.org/outsidespending/summ.php?disp=O). That Union money is from employees that work here in the our Country. The US Chamber of Commerce does receive foreign money (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/vote-2010-foreign-money-us-chamber-commerce-ads/story?id=11853117), but claim it is not part of their campaign contributions.

The US Chamber of Commerce is only one of a few hundred major entities who do not have to disclose where the cash is coming from, the SCOTUS loosened corporate campaign contributions this past year, so this is the Country we live in now, the one being where rules and elections are being legally influenced by corporate cash.

no; just saying unions tend to engage in those activities more than their corporate counterparts.

it looks like senator lisa murkowski actually has a chance to hold on to her seat. if joe miller turned enough people away, and if voters can write in lisa's name (or find it on a list of 150 write-in candidates) she could pull it off.

strom thurmond (D-SC), in 1954, is the only person elected to the Senate as a write-in candidate.
