I dreamt I was at someone's house, laying in bed, waking up on a stormy day.. lights started flickering, so I jumped out of bed to shut off the powerstrip in he living room. I run out in my underwear and there are people there but I don't care. I walk through, reach over to the outlet and notice the dusty end table is teeming with roaches.. as I gasp at them one shoots up my nose and gets stuck all the way at the top - I can feel it trying to keep going... I wake up

Sometimes dreams can be premonitions, sometimes they uncover hidden fears, sometimes both!
.
I had a quick vivid dream in between rolls and snoozes this morning which is kind of unusual.
I was looking at my computer monitor and my mouse was unresponsive, the more I clicked the more the screen became out of order.. like pointers and tiny windows appearing everywhere. And this sound kept echoing off my speakers like when you put a mic to a speaker with a delay in a sort of melodic, harmonic way. I looked to my left and there was this old fat snoring man sleeping in the other room his head closer and feet further away from me. As I'm looking at him trying to figure out what the fuck is going on I hear a man yelling and kids crying. I look at my screen and this half cartoony, half humanish family is being pulled out the screen by the force of the old man's snoring. With each breath they become more detached from the computer like a sticker being held by threads of glue. I look back to the man and his abdomen flaps open like a square of sod as his breaths become a wind pulling the family off the monitor and into him. The dad goes "here we goooooo" and they vanish into that abyss, the flap slaps shut, the man wakes up and looks up at me in astonishment and anger... I wake up.
Thats some shit

Most of my dreams involve gun fights, car chases, or gunfights and car chases.

I am taking Champix to help me quit smoking (4th week in, still going) and a side affect is really vivid dreams that stay with me for most of the day. Nothing disturbing or crazy just really long lasting images. Its kinda depressing me that i have a boring life for instance, i have had three dreams about the fucking x factor the last three weekends which is not a good sign.

yeah but have you ever had this one???? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeaovC4yvic&feature=related
I had those insanely vivid ones while on the patch a while back... I think it has to do with increased circulation? I also noticed i have wild dreams I'm/if the room is cold.
I try to write out these dreams as soon as I wake up, I usually forget by noon if I don't :(
I never remember my dreams.

I'm avoiding an assignment, so here goes:
I'm heading to an old flat I lived in, in Stockwell (South London). It's early afternoon, and I know that a friend has invited me, but also know that the zombie apocalypse is in its earliest stages. Like, in that dream sense; you've set the scene prior to arriving.
I get into the flat, and it's three rooms - the front room is a bedroom/lounge, with some couches, and a bed on the floor. There's a tv, a heater, and a big wardrobe full of food. At the rear of the room is a door to a small hallway where there is a bathroom, and another door to a rumpus-room type thing which is adjacent to lots of other doors. This last really large room has been filled with tables and furniture, the video-game equivalent of dead space. So I have the main flat and the bathroom, and that's all.
I find a note in the front room, and it says that my friend had to go before I arrived and that if I had any sense I would too. I'm reading this letter, and watching the tv at the same time, thinking how at least the power has stayed on. On the tv is the news, but the cameras are just filming an empty news set, intermittently cutting to where a variety of reporters would be seated.
The dream moves in weird lurches. I read the bottom of the note and see that my friend's dog is in the flat. The note is telling me to look after the dog, and says that there is enough food for us both here as long as we're daft enough to stay. I keep thinking how fortunate I am that the power stays on. Then the dream lurches forward a few days and the power is cut. I remember feeling the length of the days, and the impact that had in drawing out the nights, making it harder to sleep because I was desperate to get into my head where something would be happening.
It seems like a few weeks, and now the flat is starting to smell with the food scraps and the lack of refrigeration (in the big cupboard apparently), and I'm thinking it's lucky that the water is still runnning. Days on days of isolation take their toll on me as I begin destroying all of the furniture in the flat, except the bed which offers the only retreat from my situation. Intermittently I check out the dead space room, and I can see stuff trying to push through. Zombies, I guess. Then the dream lurches forward and the water has stopped running.
I remember seeing mold and grime everywhere, and the smell of the bathroom making me dry heave. And one night the dog starts barking really loudly. Like it won't shut up, and I know it's only going to attract the zombies. The flat is lit by moonlight, and I can hear this groaning in the distance growing closer. I don't see anything but the silhouettes of a horde outside, but I know they're bearing down on me. The dog is barking like fucking crazy now, and I curse it for bringing this on me. So I make a decision, I let the dog go free. I force him out a crack in the window, and hear it yelp and squeal as the zombies devour it pretty savagely. But it hasn't stopped them.
Now in the dead of night, in an otherwise silent city, windows are breaking around me, and the smell is fucking stifling, and fences sound like they're buckling under the weight of a surge, and I haven't done anything to help myself in what must have been weeks, and I just fed a fat golden retriever to some animated corpses, I decide to break out of the flat.
So I go to the bathroom, which is absolutely inhospitable with the stink of weeks of isolation, and look out a tiny window and there's sunlight, and people walking their dogs in the park, and life is carrying on as normal. Hearing the door of the flat give way to the monsters, I jump head-first out of the window to my new freedom.
Only I'm covered in blood and I stink of shit and look like a person who has been locked away in a flat for over a month with just a dog and no power or running water. And all the people start running away from me. At which point I wake up.
It was a good dream in that it was really vivid and intense in just the right ways, and parts of it were awesome to experience. The tv showing newsfeeds of empty studios in particular (I'm sure that's from something - Omega Man?). Anyway, typing that out killed some time. (y)

Dreams can get crazy! My latest wierd one:
I'm at work and outside and I see a huge verticle plume like a meteor hit and the plume went straight verticle and very high. Then i look around in the sky in the opposite direction and see a nasty dark storm billowing then all of a sudden a wierd sensation comes over me and things all around start floating like 5 feet above ground and fixed items like poles start comming out of the ground, it felt like the earth was slowing it's rotation and then it picked up again and gravety felt normal. But then there where human like 'aliens' in full body suits running around marking people as if the marking was telling you where to go as in this is the end of the earth and this is where you are going. Then all of a sudden as I was marked I ended up in what seemed like a depot station, best was to describe it is the alien depot scene in Men In Black but different, as I'm hanging out I start seeing poeple I know and then I see my aunt, who died three years ago, standing next to ET. That is when I woke up.

Wow you guys have some pretty detailed dreams. I get mad sometimes when I can’t remember all of my details. Anyway funny this thread just popped up today because I was just thinking this morning about a dream I had last night that scared the shit outta me. I was in the car with some friends and the entire area was being raided by looters and there was fire and a guy threw a piece of glass that went through the window and into my NECK and I think I died. I woke up and my throat was tight!! Ugh I hate dreams like that where your body reacts like that! Scary!!
Edit: I remember what the guy looks like, if I ever see a dude like that I am getting the hell out!

I don't care about other people's dreams unless they're about sex and/or I'm in them.

^ chahmin
I was at a high-rise hotel looking out the window, when I turned back around to the bed there was this housewife type lady laying there looking at me like she wanted to get it on. Being all housewife-like it made me nervous that she was probably married to I went into the other room to get something to drink.
When I turned the corner I was in a kitchen and as I walked to the sink I could could see the tops of animal heads waking by the open window. Before I could close it, a rope of assorted snakes started to make its way up over the sill an into the sink basin. I remember a black rubbery one in particlar, and this glossy greyish one that kind of looks like a belt.
As I step back to grab around for something to smack them with, a horse the size of a cat trounces through the window over the sink and on the floor at me. I felt bad but I kicked the thing before it could get any closer.
I turn around and go back to the housewife in the room which becomes the cab of a pick-up truck that for some reason looks just like the room, I think the room originally looked like the cab of a pick up but I didnt get that the first time. Weird. So we're at a drive through and we're suddenly all close like, I want to pop a boner or someshit but something is bothering the hell out of me. I get out and there is all this smelly junk in the back, So I grab two armfuls and walk looking for a garbage can at the back up some stairs.
As I stumble up trying not to drop anything, there is this (about) 12 year old kid watching me come up and having fun kind of getting in my way. I try to go left and he goes too. So I get around the fucker and as I pass him I push behind one of his knees with my heel, making his stance weak. Just as I do that I feel this overwhelming sense of regret and watching him go down the entire flight of stairs in two hard impacts, one into the banister onto his ribs and the second at the bottom onto his head. Hard.
I drop all my stuff and go down where the housewife if crying out over the kid. I look at him and know he's dead. He disappears to me but its like everyone else can see him, and they're all crying out for an ambulance. I feel overwhelming dispair, I shouldn't have done that, he was just a kid, I didnt think he'd fall like that, what was I thinking? I wake up.

I have been having the most insane dreams. Vivid, violent dreams where I die.
All the time.
I dream that people are opening the doors to my house, and most times I wake up at said door, checking the lock.
I have entire evenings where pretty much every single person I've known and place I've been in spills out like an ensemble narrative and my first teacher is having conversations with a dead classmate from back in the day. In one of my childhood bedrooms.
Shit is probably some of the most frightening stuff I've experienced, but it's getting easier. I think I can deal with it.
Ever since going on this med it's like I'm learning how to drive or walk again. They have been great for dealing with depressive symptoms, but they fuck me up when things go well. I get anxious rather than elated at anything positive. Fucking up my game with women in the most profound way, in particular.
Fuck it.

I was getting frustrated in a shoe store because I couldn't the right fit and some lady was sleeping on a hospital bed in the middle of the store.
so I asked the employees why they were letting her do this, and they answered, "revenue"
so I said, "that's it- I'm out of here, you're not getting my revenue"
so I woke up and took my business elsewhere.
